Yves Rocher Brand Overview

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well! Long time no speak. I was so excited about getting involved with #blogmas this year, however, I only managed to do #12DaysOfBlogmas. I really wanted to blog every single day but after day 12 it was beginning to get harder as I was working every single day running up to Christmas (usually till 10pm most evenings) and I couldn't get the posts flowing as much as I would have liked. Never-the-less I am so glad I managed to do 12 consecutive days and of course I am back to my usual schedule now. Thanks so much for sticking around :D

I had such a great response to my previous brand overviews that I thought I would throw another one into the mix featuring some Yves Rocher products that are perfect for the upcoming party season! I had heard of the brand a few times previously so I was excited when they got in contact with me about trying a few of their cult products. I was extremely impressed with everything they sent over in my goodie box and I have been using the perfume like crazy! If you like these brand overview type of posts then please let me know! I will try and post a few more for you guys featuring some other new and well loved brands of mine.

Firstly, a little bit behind the brand themselves. Yves Rocher is the number 1 selling makeup and skincare brand in France. They are a affordable and all-natural beauty brand that use especially grown botanical properties and are passionate about ethical product development.

The Flowerparty By Night perfume is absolutely gorgeous and if you like sweet smelling scents then this is definitely one for you. The packaging itself is stunning and it has an irresistible fruity floral scent with signature notes of addictive flavours that Yves Rocher are known for. The botanical based ingredients included are bitter almond essential oils, star anise and bourbon vanilla absolute extract - so delicious! The Moisturising Cream Lipstick in Orange Muscade was something I was totally impressed with. At first glance it is a glorious red shade, however, when swatched and applied to the lips it transforms into an orange based red. It glides onto the lips like a dream with its moisturising formula and just adds that special little something to any makeup look - don't you just love a bold lip. Additionally, the flat bevelled edge makes application incredible easy and super precise - there is nothing I love more than a bright lipstick that is easy to apply! Lastly, the Lash Plumping Mascara would make a great addition if you are looking for something new to try. It has a super volumising formula with the added bonus of being waterproof. Even though waterproof formulas are tricky to remove, at least you know this bad boy won't run anywhere when you get emotional at the stroke of midnight on New Years! It also has a super precise brush which makes application extremely easy, especially on the lower lashes without flake-age (is that even a word?! haha).

Overall, I feel all three of these combined would make a perfect look for any party season or additionally used alone to add a little glamour. A sweet smelling fragrance, a bold lip and fluttering eyelashes - what more could you ask for?! I am so glad I had the opportunity to try out these products and I feel they are definitely worth a try if you are looking to give something new a go or if you are looking to expand your beauty collection. The 50ml fragrance makes it super easy for travel and would make the perfect after Christmas treat! I hope you all enjoyed this post! I would love to know your thoughts on the above products. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment...they really make my day! I have quite an exciting post heading your way within the next few days...something that has been in the works for a while for you all so make sure to keep checking back!

Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stains

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well! It's FriYAY and for #blogmas day 12 I thought I would bring you some gorgeous new lip colours I was introduced to not so long ago. Lip products are just incredible - I just love how they can instantly change up a makeup look and also the way that you feel. Lipstick can solve pretty much anything haha. Audrey Hepburn herself quoted "I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick" - wise words Audrey haha! These moisture stains claim to give the shine of a gloss, moisture of a balm and longevity of a stain with the pigmentation of a lipstick. They are extremely creamy, non-sticky and combine Vitamin E and Aloe with lasting lightweight PureStainTM pigments.

So far I have only tried the above three shades from the Colourstay Moisture Stain collection and I cannot wait to try more. The colours themselves are absolutely gorgeous but they also have this super unique get texture, unlike any other lip products I have tried recently. The closest product I could think of to reflect the consistency are the YSL Glossy Stains or even the newer YSL Kiss & Blush and I think these could potentially be great dupes for them. I love hybrid products!

Firstly, I just need to take a moment to talk about the shade names. I love how the three that I picked out are named after three of my all time favourite cities; LA, Barcelona and London. I believe the entire range is names after a selection of beautiful cities and I think that is a fabulous feature to the products. The packaging is super sleek and feels quite substantial and luxurious considering they are a high street product. Whoop, go Revlon! They have a wide doe-foot applicator that comes to a precise point which makes application so much easier. The precise point comes in handy when trying to perfect that bold lip without making a mess or to save time if you are in a but of a rush. Like I mentioned earlier the formula is definitely gel like and on first application the colour pay off is quite sheer, however, after letting it dry and applying a second coat you are good to go. I would say the glossiness fades after a good few hours but then you are left with pertly stained lips that literally do not budge.

LA Exclusive is a soft baby pink shade that I absolutely love. If you have read my blog since the beginning then you would know how much I am quite partial to a baby pink lip combo. I must admit thought I am slowly but surely getting more adventurous when it comes to bold lips. I think this shade would look lovely paired with MAC's Creme Cup! Barcelona Nights is a more fuchsia pink shade that I think would be paired beautifully with MAC's Girl About Town. Another gorgeous pink shade to add to the collection - winning! Finally, London Posh is a shade I wouldn't typically go for as I am drawn more to pinky shades but I have to say I really like this one. This is a warm nude shade with the slightest hint of coral that doesn't wash out my complexion like some nudes tend to do.

Overall, I am really impressed with these Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stains and I am so looking forward to trying out the other shades in the line and adding them to my makeup collection. The quality is impeccable and the formula is true to it's word! For £7.99, with the potential to be on 3-for-2 at Boots I think these are totally worth the money - they are as good as everyone is raving about! Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day! See you all in #blogmas day 13 tomorrow!

Christmas Gift Guide | So...? With Attitude Gift Sets

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well? Welcome to #blogmas day 11 and another instalment to my 2014 Christmas Gift Guide. I thought today I would share with you some fabulous gift sets from So...? - a brand that I have used and loved since I was in middle school. Gift sets are a great option when on the hunt for that perfect gift for someone and any kind of fragrance is always great as no one can have enough perfume haha.

So...? With Attitude have been keeping girls smelling fabulous since the 90's and they are now a multi-award winning brand that are available in over 30 countries and 5 different continents. Now in 2014 the So...? rang is still going strong, and even after 20 years in the game they are still committed to providing unique, quality fragrances at purse-friendly prices. So...? With Attitude have been one of those brands that I have know and loved for many years. I remember being in middle school and having every single scent at home or thrown in my school or gym bag. They are just one of those brands that you can always turn back to because you know their fragrances are gorgeous, the quality is great and they are super affordable.

Being the Christmas season I thought I would share with you one of the So...? With Attitude gift sets. The So...? Exclusive City Chic comes in at £5.99 and includes a 30ml Eau de Toilette, 50ml Body Lotion and 10ml Lip Balm - so you are definitely getting your moneys worth. If you are a lover of sweet smelling scents then this gift set will be perfect for you. The fragrance and body cream compliment each other very well and I absolutely love the scent of the Cherry lip balm. I must admit the lip balm is not as hydrating as I would have hoped but it does leave a lovely tint to the lips, which is perfect for everyday and on the go.

Overall, I am really impressed with this gift set and I absolutely love the sweet smell of the fragrance and the yummy cherry of the lip balm. This gift set is perfect for any beauty addict who loves to pamper herself with moody creams and balms, before spritzing her way to gorgeousness! For £5.99 (currently on offer at Tesco for £2.50) I think you just can't go wrong with a gift like this - it would make a perfect stocking filler or gift for any beauty addict but also someone who is just getting into beauty and wants to expand their collection.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! I would love to know what you think of the gift set and if it would be something you would gift someone! Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day! See you all in #blogmas day 12 tomorrow!

Makeup Revolution | I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well? Welcome to #blogmas day 10! I thought today I would bring you something that I have been completely obsessed with lately! I am pretty sure everyone and their dog knows about Makeup Revolution and all of their makeup offerings. Around a month ago I decided to pop into a local Superdrug of mine to take a peek at the entire range after being introduced to them during the summer. I must admit at first I was a little confused with the whole Makeup Revolution and I Heart Makeup thing, however, I soon discovered that they were in fact sister brands and good golly they had some fabulous products. This will be my first ever post on the brands so I decided to start with something fun and show you their gorgeous Blushing Hearts.

Firstly, how beautiful are these Blushing Hearts?! From the packaging and the product themselves they are just so spectacular and for £4.99 they are a total steal. I am not ashamed to admit that I will love having these on display on my new vanity...I mean just look at them! The packaging itself is a strong cardboard, however, it is considerably stirdy and I have full faith that the blushers will be protected (hope I haven't jinxed myself now haha). The Blushing Hearts collection consisted of six different triple baked shades. I picked up four; Candy Queen of Hearts, Summer of Love Bronzer, Blushing Heart and the Goddess of Love Highlighter. Additionally, there are two other shades; Love Hot Summer Bronzer and Peachy Keen. As you can see from the swatches, each shade is absolutely gorgeous and leaves a lovely healthy flush to the skin - a total hybrid product!

Some of you might be looking at these and thinking "gosh these look familiar?!" and you are 100% correct. These Blushing Hearts are almost identical and are amazing dupes for the Too Faced Sweetheart Blushes - minus the price of course (£24). I actually own all three of the Too Faced Sweetheart Blushes and can honestly say that they are pretty spot on when it comes to formula and shades. If you would like to see a full comparison then please let me know.

Candy Queen of Hearts is one of the three available blush shades from the collection and is definitely one of my favourites. Each shade individually is beautiful, however, when swirled together they create this gorgeous bubble gum shade that much resembles MAC's Dainty blush. Even though these are marketed as blushers, I would definitely use a few of the shades as highlighters alone or even eyeshadow - I'm looking at you middle shade! Summer of Love is one of the two bronzers available from the collection and is definitely the lighter of the two. For me, this is the perfect everyday bronzing shade that helps enhance my complexion to give me that summer glow I long for all year round haha. Blushing Heart is similar to Candy Queen of Hearts except it has slight purple pink hues and is slightly darker. You can go in and use each shade separately if you wish, however, I much prefer swirling them together to create this gorgeous pink shade. Goddess of Love is the only highlighter in the collection and is absolutely stunning. I am not sure if the above swatch does it justice but in real life it is a gorgeous light champagne highlight and could possibly be a dupe for MAC's Soft & Gentle.

Overall, I am completely impressed with these Blushing Hearts and I cannot wait to collect the rest of the line and explore Makeup Revolution and I Heart Makeup more. For £4.99 you cannot go wrong - these would make lovely stocking fillers around Christmas but also a lovely treat for yourself if you are looking to expand your makeup collection or if you are just getting into makeup. If you would like to check out the Blushing Hearts or anything else from the two lines you can do so in-store or online at Superdrug or Makeup Revolution. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

My #AlproTops Breakfast Week

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous week so far! Welcome to #blogmas day 9 and a more lifestyle aimed post. I was recently contacted by Alpro to get involved with their #alprotops campaign. I literally jumped at the chance as Alpro host some of my favourite weekly shop items but also the campaign seemed really fun. I am on a health kick at the moment - well at least trying to be so these Alpro Tops are great yogurt alternatives that are super healthy and very delicious.

#alprotops is all about getting creative with your breakfast using Alpro's Big Pot alternatives to yogurt as your blank canvas in the morning or even as a healthy snack. At the moment there are four different Big Pot flavours to choose from - Simply Plain, Vanilla, Strawberry with Rhubarb and Lemon & Lime. Alpro challenged me to create a different #alprotops topping combination everyday for five days and experiment with the Alpro Big Pot's and toppings that came in my Alpro goodie box. From nuts to berries, spices to seeds, they are encouraging the public to put a healthy twist on your yogurt. Additionally, I went out and picked up a few other ingredients to keep on hand to use throughout the week. These consisted of some Bananas, Raspberries, Blueberries and my favourite Nature Valley Oats & Honey Protein Granola.

What I really love about the Alpro Big Pots is that they are 100% plant-based and a source of plant protein. They are naturally low in saturated fat, naturally lactose free, gluten free, contains calcium and vitamins B2, B12 and D - and still taste scrumptious!

Monday; I started off Monday morning with the Strawberry with Rhubarb Big Pot and placed a selection of AlmondsBlueberries and some of my favourite Nature Valley Oats & Honey Protein Granola. The mouth-watering Strawberry with Rhubarb is made with the juiciest strawberries and seasonal rhubarb, blended perfectly with Alpro's soya alternative to yogurt. Tuesday; As I had the Strawberry with Rhubarb Big Pot opened, I decided to mix a dashing of it with Vanilla and I loved how it turned out. I then placed a selection of Blueberries and Raspberries with a sprinkling of grated CoconutWednesday; I decided to give the Lemon & Lime Big Pot some attention. I think this day I got the most creative and threw in a whole load of different bits and bobs. To the Lemon & Lime I placed a selection of Dried StrawberriesNature Valley Oats & Honey Protein Granola, a dash of the Granola that Alpro sent me and a sprinkling of Chia and Flax Seeds with a Raspberry to top it all off. The Lemon & Lime flavour has such a lovely zesty citrus taste to it. Alternatively, this would make a great alternative to any homemade smoothie or cheesecake recipe! Thursday; When I woke up on Thursday I had the biggest craving for Banoffee. Instead of indulging I decided to use that craving and transform it into a healthy breakfast. I decided to crack open the Simply Plain Big Pot and add a Banana with a mountain of Chocolate Flakes with a sprinkling of Chia & Flax Seeds for good measure. Friday; To be honest Friday was a bit of a hit and miss as I decided to use a most of the toppings that I had opened throughout the week. I decided to mix two different Big Pot's like I did on Tuesday; I decided to use Strawberry with Rhubarb and Simply Plain. I then placed a ring of Cashew Nuts and then a BlueberryRaspberry and slice of Banana to the centre. I was actually eating a Banana on the side so I decided to use a slice of it for some detail - thank Pinterest for that haha. I then sprinkled some Chia Seeds to finish it all off.

Overall, I really enjoyed getting involved with the campaign, getting up every morning and being a little more creative with my breakfast than usual. After a full week of munching on the yummy goodness above and going to the gym I felt so much better in myself - at the end of the day it took the same amount of time to put these breakfast ideas together as it would making a bowl of cereal in the morning. I am not sure if I could pick just one favourite as I really enjoyed them all so I will let YOU decide haha (I am so indesisive)! I would definitely repurchase all of the Alpro Big Pots and experiment even more with the remaining toppings they sent me. I will be posting all of the above breakfast ideas over on my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. If you would like to get involved with the challenge you can do so by checking out the Alpro website and all social media platforms with the #alprotops hashtag.

I hope you all enjoyed this post - I loved getting involved in something more lifestyle for a change - I love mixing it up over on my blog! Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

Glossybox | December 2014

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a great week so far. I was so excited when the brand new December 2014 Glossybox landed on my doorstep this morning that I couldn't resist sharing it with you for #blogmas day 8. Firstly, how festive is this months box?! I was so excited to see that Glossybox had given their classic box a little makeover - I just love the green, white and red colour scheme. Receiving the December Glossybox has made me even more excited for Christmas and the New Year. 2015 is looking pretty spectacular!

As soon as I opened the box I was greeted by a gorgeous smell - it was these treatment shots by TRESemme. Treatment shots have always interested me, but funny enough I have never taken the plunge and given them a try. When I saw these at the top of the box I was so excited to finally give them a try. According to TRESemme these treatment shots instantly help to nourish your scalp and renew your hair, leaving it beautiful from start to finish. With tea tree extract and sunflower seed oil the salon quality formula helps nourish the scalp at the surface cellular level, leaving hair 3 times stronger. TRESemme recommend using these as a weekly treatment, so four a monthly supply £5.50 is a great price for this pack.

This could not have arrived at a better time! I have been working so much recently and my skin has taken the toll - I have gained a huge blemish on my cheek (so lovely). Anatomicals was a brand I was introduced to a few months ago through another subscription box so I was pleased to see something else from the brand to give a try. This is a double ended product that offers a day and nighttime formula to help banish those pesky breakouts. Simply apply a small amount on problem areas and let it works its magic throughout the day or night. I have to say this product has a lovely scent to it, I think it is due to the tea tree in the formulation which helps battle blemishes.

SkinPep was a completely new brand to me but I always love trying out new skincare and discovering new brands. This was the only sample in the box this month but I have to say you are receiving a good sized amount of product. This Hydra Boost product contains the clinically proven cell communicating ingredient, Hyaluronic acid, in a perfume free, alcohol free, hypo allergenic formulation that is said to promote a healthy new skin glow. SkinPep recommend applying a small amount of the serum onto your face and décolletage area cleansing and massage into the skin for 1-2 minutes to promote and achieve skin hydration. According to SkinPep, Hyaluronic Acid is a natural shun cell component, found in the deepest levels of the dermis and it is able to hold 200 times its weight in water, which makes it an excellent moisturiser. Sounds pretty interesting right?!

So Susan was another brand I was introduced to through another subscription box so I was please yet again to be able to try something else from the brand. When receiving products like this I always worry if they are the right shade for me and If I will actually be able to get use out of it. Well, the great thing about this concealer palette is that there are four different shades ranging from light to dark so there is something to work for everyone - you could also mix them together to create the perfect shade for yourself! This concealer palette is formulated with Virgin Marula Oil and has a super lightweight formula. The £20 price tag is a little high but if it works out for me then it would be something I would consider re-purchasing. I will keep you updated.

Bellapierre Cosmetics is a brand I have heard of a few times throughout the blogging community but one I have actually never given a try myself. I knew this product was on the way a due to a sneak peek in Novembers box mentioning this product. At first glance, this Bellapierre cheek and lip stain is a super blendable, 2-in-1 handbag hero in a gorgeous coral shade. I love products like this that I can throw in my handbag on the go and use throughout the day. It is a super handy multitasking product that could be used on your cheeks and lips. Cream products like these are perfect throughout the winter months when skin is feeling a little dryer than usual...I am excited to give this a proper try as it is super pigmented and has a lovely light scent. I think this will become a handbag staple for me when I start my new job in January - the perfect touch me up product.

I hope you all enjoyed today's post and taking a peek inside this months Glossybox! I would love to know what you think? Overall, I am really pleased with Decembers box and to see 4/5 full sized products, however, being a festive box it would have been nice to see something Christmassy! I am looking forward to giving everything a proper try and bringing you some full reviews in the future - you never know, there might be my next holy grail product amongst these beauties. This months box works out around £51 which I think is great as the box itself costs £12.95 with postage. The box itself purely consisted of beauty and hair products, in comparison to the past two which have been a mixture of beauty, hair and lifestyle. I don't mind this at all as the product are lovely, I just think it is down to it being the party season and everyone wanting to get dolled up and pampered. Keeping in with my Christmas Gift Guide themes I personally think that a subscription like Glossybox would make a lovely gift for any beauty addict. I would love to find a Glossybox under my tree at Christmas! Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!
