Benefit Fake Up

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope your all doing well :) I have officialy finished University for Easter break now so i can't wait to spend a few days care free and relaxing. Unfortunately i have a few assignments which are due when i'm back so unfortunately i still have to do some work haha

So last night i was lucky to be invited and attend the Benefit Fake Up Event in London. I had such an amazing time trying out the new product, and finally meeting some fellow bloggers :) this was one of my first ever events meeting a lot of other bloggers so was lovely to mingle and put faces to blogs :D Myself and Ellie from 'Ellies Ramblings' decided to meet up before hand and tag along to the event together. London was the last stop on the Benefit Fake Up tour so you've probably heard lots about this concealer already throughout the blogging community. I'm already a huge fan of Benefit and all of their makeup and skincare goodies so i was so excited when i heard they were releasing a new concealer.

Fake Up is a new hydrating crease control concealer which has been proven to keep the skin hydrated for up to 6 hours. The hydrating ring has Vitamine E and Apple seed extract for immediate moisturisation. The concealer core hides dark circles, smoothes skin and diffuses light to ensure those pesy dark circles are completely hidden. Fake Up comes in three different shades for you to choose from; light, medium and deep. I was colour matched to shade 02 Medium, however, we were lucky enough to leave the event with all three shades. As you can see from the swatches shade 03 Deep is far too dark for me to use on it's own, however, we were taught a little trick by Benefits Head Makeup Aritst, Trend Artist and Brow Expert Lisa on how to use all three shades for our whole face. As im shade 02 Medium i could use shade 01 Light to highlight the highest points on my face and then use shade 03 Deep to contour, pretty exciting right?!

Lisa told us that when she was doing the Makeup for Matthew Williams show at London Fashion Week timings were everywhere and they litterally had 4 minutes to get all the models ready for the catwalk. So, they decided to use Fake Up all over the models faces and it looked amazing because it's such a hydrating concealer it can be used in different ways.

Like all of the other Benefit beauties the packaging is absolutely beautiful. I love how everything is always so unique, fun, and colourful. I love having my Benefit makeup out on display in my Beauty Closet because it's so lovely to look at haha. I also love how each Fake Up box coresponds to the shade in which you purchase, so clever! The concealer itself is a very stylish and sleek mirrored silver with stunning pink and black detailing. It's very compact so it's easily tansportable in your makeup bag and on the go. The packaging is very stylish but discrete which can work to your advantage, if your a makeup geek then you'll know what it is but to some it may too like a lipstick, so it can be your best kept secret to having amazing looking flawless skin ;)

Overall, i am extremely happy and sold with this products. After using it on myself today and swatching it and blending it in it felt silky soft and very hydrating on my skin. I will be whacking all 3 shades out to use at an event i'm off to at the weekend, will be getting that Kim Kardashian contour look with this amazing product.

Not only did we leave with an amazing goodie bag with all three Fake Up shades, we were also colour matched to Benefits - Hello Flawless! powder to take home with us too. This was such a lovely surprise and it's such a beautiful product. It was in honour of Benefits - Hello Flawless! Foundation as it's coming up to it's 1st Birthday :D (Happy Birthday!) this beauty is available in 9 different shades and i was matched up to the shade Beige. I can't wait to try this out as a foundation and as a setting powder in the future, watch out for a review ;) It has a oil-free natural finish formula with hydrating benefits for the skin whilst offering light diffusing properties for that overall healthy 'Flawless!' glow :D see what i did their haha ;)

Fake Up launches in stores on the 30th March 2013 in the UK :)

I hope you enjoyed reading through this post :) i'd love to know what your thoughts are on the concealer and whether it's caught your eye to try out when it finally launches :D Also if you have any questions or requests please do not hesitate to contact me via my social media platforms, email or by leaving me a comment below, i love hearing from you all and i read every single comment!

If you read my last post you'll know i attend an event laucnhing the new Chanel 'Les Beiges' Healthy Glow Sheer Powder a few days ago and i meantioned i had a makeover by Chanels Makeup Artist Izzy, i said i'd do another post on my makeover and explain all of the products use to create my Classic Chanel makeover. The overall looked was pale skin with a bold red lip.

This is going to be a picture heavy post so brace yourself haha I had to be careful with what picture i uploaded as your not allowed to show too much of the 'Chanel' logo, so i've picked some of my favorite pictures :)

Izzy introduced some amazing products into my life which i couldn't resist not purchasing so i will be doing some Chanel reviews really soon.

Izzy first cleansed my face which was extremly relaxing, i loved having my skin cleansed as i'm quite naughty and havent got a 'proper' skin care routine. Chanel | Les Beiges - Healthy Glow Sheer Powder

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope your all well! I handed in my Marketing assignment yesterday and I feel a weight has totally been lifted, i can sit back and relax over the weekend now :)

I was very kindly invited to a lauch of one of Chanel's new products 'Les Beiges'. I was given a brief on the new product, how it works, all the available shades and what it could be used for in your makeup routine. I've actually never tried a Chanel face powder before so it was intersting to see how it worked with my skin. As soon as it was applied to my skin in transformed my complexion, it had a glow to it and looked stunning.

Chanel's Makeup Artist Izzy very kindly did a Classic Chanel makeover on me and the look turned out absolutely beautiful. She decided upon a Classic slight 60's Smokey eye with a bold Red lip. The bold red lip was a little outside my comfort zone as some bright colours scare me haha but the shade she picked out for me suited my skin tone and i'd have to say looked pretty darn good ;) haha. Izzy is so talented and was so lovely to talk to, we chatted about loads of things and of course spoke about Coco Chanel. I will be doing another post showing you my finished look with a list of all the products used.

Chanel have just launched this little beauty to their coveted collection. It launched yesterday - 15th March 2013 - in the UK and i was luckily enough to pick one up Thursday night and bring you a review :)

As you can already tell, there is something a little different about this collection...it has white packaging! I think the white is very different and looks incredibly sleek and stunning. I do absolutely adore the classic black but the white has something about it. Izzy told me that the white was in fact how Chanel used to have their packaging 'back in the day' when the makeup first launched, how exciting! I think something which has also lead them to use the white packaging again is the fact that the line is called 'Les Beiges' so the white represents something quite close to the name.

This little beauty is very versitle and can be used in a few different ways. It can be applied as a foundation, a setting powder or as a brozer depending on what shades you go for. I tried out the powder over the 'Chanel Lift Lumiere Foundation' and my complexion looked absolutely flawless, it even managed to cover up some pesky little breakouts. After applying it to your skin, if you wait around 5 minutes you'll notice the powder transform and start literally glowing on your skin, it was so magical to watch.

The texture is silky soft and very light, when Izzy applied it to my face i couldn't actually tell i was wearing anything ontop of the foundation on my skin. It was beautiful to wear throughout the night, i can already tell that it's a type of poweder that won't go 'cakey' on the skin which is something you want in a powder.

I opted to purchase shade #30 as can use it as a setting powder but i can also layer it up to add some warmth and contour to my face also. I will be going back to get more shades though as i am so pleased with the overall product so far. When the product was designed, it was created to add warmth to your complexion so the shades do 'oxidise' a go slight darker once applied to your skin, hence the name 'Healthy Glow' Sheer Powder :)

I am extremely pleased with this powder and how it makes my skin looks, their is also a slight rose scent to it which makes me love it even more. Chanel's perfume designer also scents the makeup line and most of the blushers are baked using rose water, which was an intersting fact i learnt yesterday.

I hope you enjoyed this post :) if you have any questions or requests please do not hesitate to contact me via my social media platforms or by leaving me a comment below, i love hearing from you all and i read every single comment :)

Dupe Alert | Urban Decay Flushed Palette VS Sleek Face Form Palette

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope your all well and the week has started off amazingly :) I had an accounting exam this afternoon and i'm so glad to see the back of it now, no more stressing...well, until the next deadlines start looming! Todays post is going to be a comparison review of the Urban Decay Flushed Palette and Sleek Face Form Palette.

I first discovered Sleeks Face Form Palette last year whilst on the hunt for their contour kit in Superdrug, i wasn't successful so i decided to pick up this little beauty. To be honest i hadn't had much wear out of it until i recently traveled and brought it along with me, it became super handy and now i love it! As you know i picked up the Urban Decay Flushed Palette a few posts ago in a collective haul, i've been alternating between using these palettes on a daily basis as all the products i need for my complexion are all in one handy palette, they are super handy when i'm in a rush for University in the morning.

Whilst at #bbloggers chat a few weeks ago i asked if you'd like to see a comparison between the two palettes and you sad yes!

Sleek - Face Form Palette (Light 373) £10
Urban Decay - Flushed Palette £20

I am an odd ball because I keep most of my Makeup in their original packaging haha, i just think it looks pretty in my collection and i can see everything clearly organised in my Beauty Closet. Considering, i use them both on a daily basis the packaging has done pretty well. The Sleek packaging is a little tatty now but it's because they are well loved beauty products :D

As you can see in the picture their is a significant difference in the packaging between both palettes. The UD Flushed in it's famous golden packaging to match the NAKED range and Sleeks classic black.  They both are pretty sturdy and are easy to clean. The Sleek palette is a tiny weeny bit smaller and thiner. Suprisingly the Sleep Palette holds more product :) it holds 20g where the Urban Decay Palette only holds 14g.

(First time doing proper swatches as it's been requested by my lovely readers, sorry if they're not that great haha i'll learn to make them look amazing soon ;P)

As you can see from the swatches the shades are very similar, however i did notice a difference in the textures of the products, each swatch has two swipes of product on them. The Urban Decay Flushed Palette had a more creamy texture i found when applying the products to my arm.

Bronzer

The Sleek bronzer is super pigmented compared to the Urban Decay one which when swatched came out more sheer. When i apply them on my face i have noticed that the Sleek version shows up more on my skin. They both give off different tones of warmth to my skin, i love alternating between them.

Highlighter

The highlighters are the most similar out of everything within these palettes. They are both extremely shimmer and look beautiful on the skin. I'd say the Urban Decay highlighter has more of a pink undertone though like i stated in my review and the colour pay off is slighly darker compared to Sleek.

Blusher

The blushers are not that similar in terms of shades. The Sleek one has pinky/peachy Rose Golden tones and is also packed full of shimmer which i absolutely adore, it's a great dupe for Nars Orgasm blush! The Urban Decay shade has hardly any visible shimmer and when applied to the cheeks comes acorss demi-matte.

Overall, i have come to the conclusion that i love both palettes, i really can't decide between them as i'm too much of a makeup junkie haha but... i'd love to know your opinions on the palettes :D I think the Sleek version is an amazing dupe of the Urban Decay palette, i'm always on the hunt for a great dupe and it is much more purse-friendly as it's half the price of the Urban Decay version, it also appears to be much more pigmented.
Have you tried any of these palettes? What do you think about them?

If you liked this post, would you like me to do any other comparison reviews? If so, pretty please leave me a comment below :D if you have any other requests of questions then please do not hesitate to leave me a comment or contact me via my social media platforms or email :D

Lush Haul | Easter, Mothers Day & Yummy Newbies

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope your all well and your week has been great so far! So todays post is super fun. I love writing up Lush Haul posts because i'm literally sitting here for hours smelling everything i purchased. I picked up a few newbies that i havent tried before and also some Limited Edition goodies for Mothers Day and Easter :D I literally can't believe it's MARCH already haha

I am known to go a little crazy when it comes to hauls, i couldn't help myself, all the Limited Edition goodies, the bright colours and yummy scents i was drawn to them all ;) I'm loving the picture i took, it's so colourful and reminds me of the Spring / Summer time which is slowly creeping towards us!

1. Fizzbanger - Bath Bomb

I've read so many reviews on this little beauty and i couldn't believe i hadn't picked this one up yet. It has a super yummy apple, cinnemon and toffee scent which i absolutely love. This bath bomb has a secret blue centre which combined with the yellow outside shade creates a beautiful apple green shade. It then 'snap, crackles and pops' like popping candy which sounds so fun! There is also a hidden treasure on the inside which i won't giveaway but it's adorable! I am going to be using this one tonight just before #bbloggers chat. Really excited haha, i'm such a big kid!

2. Big Blue - Ballistic

This one my mum kept looking at so i decided to get it for her to add to her Mothers Day box this weekend. It's not much of a suprise now because she was there when i purchased it haha but i though it'd throw it in and show you guys. This bath bomb is described as a mini holiday, lavender oil to relax, lemon oil to clear the mind and seaweed and sea alt to soften the skin.

3. Henata - Easter Ballistic

This is one of the Limited Edition newbies i picked up and how cute is it?! It's an Easter Hen haha I cannot wait to try this out and review it for you all. It's such a beautiful bright yellow and orange shade with a hidden suprise in the centre. The concept behind this Ballistic was to be like a Mexican Pinata, your meant to smash it against the side of your bath and watch the explosion of surprises unfold. It spins around much like 'The Enchanter' according to the sales assistant and has mini ballistic eggs inside with soap paper flowers!

4. Immaculate Eggception - Easter Ballistic (Pink)
8. Immaculate Eggception - Easter Ballistic (Yellow)

I opted to get both shades in this Limited Edition goodie because they are so adorable! This little beauty can be broken down to use in 3 baths which is quite handy. If you shake this one you'll notice their is a suprise hidden inside. Loving all the little Easter suprises this year from LUSH!! You get either a mini ballistic chick or bunny inside, i'm hoping to get one of each because i got both shades in this particular bath bomb. Pretty please let me know what you all got in yours!

5. Think Pink - Bath Ballistic

This yummy scent is much like the 'Creamy Candy Bubble Bar' and it has got to be one of my all time favorite scents from Lush. This is the first time i'm purchasing this one also, i think and i can't wait to use it and have a super yummy, floral princess bath :D

6. Bright Side - Bubble Bar

I absolutely love using the Lush Bubble Bars because you get so many amazing bubbles, extrodinary scents and beautiful water colours. 'The Comforter' is one of my favorites to use so i'm hopeing this will be a new favorite also, minus the fact that i think it might be Limited Edition. It has a juicy orange scent which is so refreshing. I love how big the Bubble Bars are and how they can be chopped up for a few baths, definitely worth the money :) I'm already hooked on it's yummy scent, so fingers crossed Lush may make it a permanent in their collect soon!

7. Secret Garden - Ballistic

This was another Ballistic i picked up for my mum for her little goodie box this weekend. I thought that it was only fitting that i picked up something which was released specifically for Mothers Day. It's very cute and the scent is a beautiful floral combined with rose absolute, sweet wild orange and rosewood oils. Yet again this bath bomb has a hidden 'secret' inside, it's full of rose, blue mallow and marigolds just like a secret garden. I adore it's bright colours and concept, i hope my mum enjoys this little beauty too!

9. Carrot - Easter Bubble Bar

Last but certainly not least i chose this super fun Carrot Bubble Bar! This is also part of the Limited Edition Easter range, this year everthing has been super colourful and fun! According to the Lush website 'Shakira' created the scent for this Bubble Bar, using fruity essential oils such as buchu, blackcurrant, lemon and bergamont, it has an almost lemon grass tropical scent which is so lovely.

So, that is everything i picked up, please let me know if you've tried any of these goodies out and how you liked and got on with them. I love hearing from you all :D

If you have any questions or requests please do not hesitate to contact me via Twitter or email or by leaving me a comment below :D
