Primark Deluxe Candles

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and had a fabulous week. I am so glad it is the weekend, even though i won't have much of one until my day off on Monday. I am working with Chanel the whole weekend which is rather exciting, last week i caught a glimpse of all the new collections being released this year…ohh they look amazing! I am also looking forward to being whisked away to our Villa next week. I can't wait to escape to Spain and forget about University and everything for a while and have some sunshine in my life…whoop!

There is nothing i love more than after a stressful week than lighting a few candles, de-stressing and having a good ol' pampering session with a handful of my favourite beauty products. I have a rather large candle collection with brands such as Yankee Candles, Bath and Body Works, Lily-Flame, Neom Organics, Primark and so on. Recently i was having a little browse through Primark and came across these Deluxe Candles. I have used endless amounts of Primark candles in the past and they are a favourite as they are super affordable, smell great and look pretty…what more would you want.

Primark Deluxe Candles - £2

As you can see from the pictures above i had started to burn the White Jasmin and Lily candle before taking a photo…i know tut tut bad blogger of me haha! These photos were taken a few weeks ago and i have since repurchased each candle a few times and made sure to stock up, i like them that much. When i purchased them the first time i believe there were three different variations, the White Jasmin and Lily, Red Berries and Orchid and a third which i think had coconut in the formulation which reminded me of being on a vacation!

White Jasmin & Lily

The White Jasmin and Lily candle has a very light, clean and fresh scent.

Red Berrie & Orchid

The Red Berries and Orchid candle has a very warming scent.

Both candles have such a gorgeous aroma once lit and literally fill the room with sweet relaxing scents. I love burning them alone but also combine to create the ultimate room filling aroma. There is not a precise size on the jar, however comparison wise they come in bigger than the mini Yankee Candle jars so you are getting a good amount of product in the jars. The packaging is very simplistic and pretty to look at. I have saved some of the jars to depot for storage in my new beauty closet when the building and extension business is finished at the Meola household. I think with a pretty ribbon and some diamonds they would make gorgeous makeup and brush holders! What do you think?

They claim to have a 30 hour burning time which i think is pretty spot on. I burnt my White Jasmin and Lily candle pretty much two days straight over a weekend and there was still a good amount left in the bottom. What i really liked was how the flame burns the entire product from the sides as it gradually goes down the jar, so you are not left with a big whole in the middle with wasted product. For £2 i think this is a great little product and i will definitely be repurchasing more in the future.

I hope you all enjoyed this post, i would love to know your thoughts on the candles. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

What do you think of these candles? Would you give them a try?

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous week so far. How lovely has the weather been lately, can it stay for good now please?! I actually found myself dressing more spring and summer appropriate today and i loved it! On another note, I cannot express enough how stressful my final year at University has been lately. With all my final deadlines looming and i literally in business mode with my assignments and dissertation, so pretty please forgive me if the blog posts are a little sparse. Not long left to go until i am finally free haha.

A little while back i was contacted by the lovely team at Boohoo.com to see if i would like to get involved and contribute to a 'Waredrobe Resolutions Inforgarphic' for 2014. I literally jumped at the chance as i cannot wait to get more of the Fashionista side of my blog across with the warmer months around the corner but also because i regularly shop at Boohoo.com!

We were all given a month to talk about and i loved coming up with my Summer wardrobe resolutions. I literally cannot wait for the warmer months around the corner so i can whip out some gorgeous pastels, fun coloured jewels and to finally wear some dolly shoes and sandals! If you are looking for a spring summer 2014 nail polish i suggest you take a peek at this gorgeous shade here

Chanel Le Vernis | Tapage

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous week so far. My week has been a mixture of emotions with University commitments and exciting opportunities but i am really looking forward to the weekend for some me time. I had such a lovely response to my previous Chanel Le Vernis blog post i thought i would post another one as i had my nails done on Tuesday. A few weeks ago i was sent a beautiful little package from Chanel which contained some goodies from the new Spring 2014 Collection. I instantly fell in love with the collection when i saw sneak peeks of it online and and whilst working with Chanel. Amongst the items in the box was this gorgeous new Le Vernis called Tapage. Recently i have really loved wearing my Chanel Rouge Noir which is a beautiful vampy burgundy shade which is very seasonally appropriate for the weather we are having right now. However, all this miserable weather is in fact making me miserable so i thought i would inject a pop of colour on my nails to liven things up a little bit! Anyone else feeling a little like that?

As you can see from the picture Tapage is very much a pinky coraly red shade (to be precise haha). Chanel describe it as a bright pink which i think is not far off but in different rays of light it can come across more like a red or pink shade. Over Christmas i wore a gorgeous red shade from the Christmas 2013 collection called 'Rouge Rubis' which was very much your true postbox red shade which Tapage is nothing like so i feel there is more pink in the formulation. Its very much a fun shade which fits in perfectly within the beautiful 'Notes de Printemps' 2014 Spring collection which is all about striking colour chords of light and joyful notes. At the heart of the collection, a chorus of fresh, luminous redy shades set the season's tone for cheeks, lips and fingertips. Also, it is a very appropriate shade to be wearing with it being Valentines Day tomorrow!

The packaging itself is stunning and the brush is extremely handy and precise. When either in the salon or at home it takes an easy three strokes to apply the polish with no streaking and without making a mess. One coat of this nail polish was nearly opaque, however i always prefer two coats for extra longevity and to get the true colour and shine through. I know from experience from applying more intense shades that they can tend to get a little messy. I don't mind going back and cleaning the edges with a cotton bud and nail polish remover but it can get a little time consuming. I love how the brush itself makes application time easier and quicker which is fab for a girl on the go like me haha. Drying time was pretty average much like the Rouge Noir shade in my previous post, under a UV light it took around 10 minutes to dry completely with the two opaque coats and a clear top coat.

Overall, i am really loving this new shade and i think it will get lots of wear throughout the spring and summer time. Even thought the nail polish itself is part of the Spring 2014 Collection it is in fact becoming part of the permanent collection! So don't worry if you have been able to get hold of one yet as they are selling out pretty fast, it will be retuning permanently, Yay! Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

Have you tried any Chanel Nail Polishes? Have you got your eyes set on any particular shades?

Hugo Boss Music Limited Edition

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a great week so far! I was thinking of putting together a gift guide post for Valentines Day but just in case that doesn't happen i thought i would show you this new release by Hugo Boss which is launching February 2014. This is a post for some of my male readers, or the perfect gift idea for those of you who might be still looking for a last minute Valentines Day gift. Hugo Boss is a favoured brand in the Meola household and is one i have been brought up with. First launched in 1995, Hugo Man has now be relaunched and redefined as Hugo Boss Music Limited Edition. The overall design and colour scheme of the packaging and bottle are very classic and true to the Hugo Boss brand, it is very distinctive so you could visually see that it is in fact part of the Hugo Boss brand.

Hugo Boss have collaborated with three music artists for their new Hugo Boss Limited Edition Music Eau de Toilette. Kate Boy, Kasper Bjorke and Nina Kraviz have each been selected by Hugo to partake in their 'Music Turned Upside Down' series. They each selected a track for the project in which they had to 'turn upside down' to create an innovative and unique cover. One cover that really stood out to me was Kate Boy's version of 'A Girl Like You'. Following Hugo's long standing connection to music and the music industry and of the unique tracks are available to download with the exclusive codes which are given with the Hugo Boss Limited Edition Music fragrance - also downloadable at www.hugoboss.com

First launched in 1995, Hugo Man has been redefined to become Hugo Man Music Limited Edition. Hugo Boss' Hugo Man is described as being fresh, sharp and masculine, and for the men that 'want to live their life on their own terms' with the ad campaign by Jared Leto. The fresh fragrance contains notes of green apple, grapefruit, lavender, mint and basil which is complimented by woody notes of pine needles, sandalwood and cedarwood, creating a truly modern blend that is as relevant today as it was when it launched 19 years ago. I think this would make the perfect gift for a special occasion, birthday, Valentines Day or even a great splurge for someone who is on the look out for a new modern and masculine fragrance. What do you think?

Hugo Man EDT 75ml Music Limited Edition £37.00 is available from The Fragrance Shop nationwide including online.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

Time Bomb Cosmetics | Holiday In A Bottle

Hello My Lovelie,

I hope you are all doing well and had a fabulous weekend. Even thought it is Monday i am feeling really inspired today. In the Meola household today we are talking about all the vacations we are planning and have lined up throughout the year. My parents have been really secretive lately with all this talk about after i graduate in July…i wonder what they have planned haha.

I have just got back from walking my little Bella and it is literally so cold outside…like it should be snowing cold. I don't know about you but i am missing a bit of the sunshine, it always makes me feel so much better. Don't fret, i have a solution for you all! I was recently 'Holiday In A Bottle' from Time Bomb to give a try. I have actually never tried any Time Bomb products before so it was nice to try something different and discover something new. Time Bomb are a collection of unique skin-optimising and beauty enhancing products designed to undo the visible effects of skin saboteurs like ageing, toxic exposure and lifestyle stress. Their products are targeted for modern life skin problems and every product is a hero in it's own right loaded with the highest concentrate of professional derma-logical grade ingredients to ensure powerful, immediate and transformational results.

Holiday In A Bottle seems like the perfect product right about now to banish the January / February blues. It is a quick hit of healthy, sunshine-y glow for all skin tones all year round. It is a sheer wash of 'just been to the beach' colour which is available in two shades Sun-kissed & Sun-tanned. It is an instant, uplifting anti-dote for pale and indoor complexions. At first when you pump the product out you may be a little baffled as it is a grey shade with a semi-rouge consistency, however, when you massage it into the skin the tiny micro-beads burst and the grey shade transforms into a beach-glow on the skin. The shade Sun-kissed is not too dark or harsh for me personally and blends beautifully into the skin. Complexion boosters such as this are great alternative for those who don't necessarily enjoy sitting out in the sunshine, it's a tan without the dangerous UVA and UVB exposure.

Overall, i really do like the product and it is the perfect pick me up when you need a little sunshine in your life. I don't know about you but i always feel better when i have a bit of a tan. The only negative aspect i can think of is the fact it is £28 which seems quite steep for a 30ml complexion booster, however, you literally use it sparingly to enhance your complexion, a little does go a long way. Also, the colour selection, the shades available may be too dark for very pale complexions so maybe introducing a few more would be helpful. However, i feel you could add a little moisturiser into a small pump of the formulation to make it slightly lighter to suit different complexions.

If you would like to give Time Bomb a try you can purchase them from QVC, Very or directly from the Time Bomb website. The brand is closely linked with the same team as John Freida haircare so i am sure that you will be seeing these products in stores really soon.

I hope you all enjoyed this summery vacation style post, it has made me even more excited about my vacations this year. I need sunshine haha. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

What are your thoughts on this product? Would you give it a go?

Lots of Love
