University Talk | Choosing the right one for you

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and have had a fabulous weekend. I am actually jetting off to Barcelona with work for the next few days so I might be a little quiet over on the blog this week. I promise I will be back with lots of exciting posts upon my return. Part of my New Years resolutions for my blog was to branch out and write more diverse posts for you all, so today we are getting a little more personal on the blog. I was recently approached by St Mary’s University and was asked if I would like to talk about my experiences when choosing which university I wanted to attend. I thought this would be a great post and campaign to get involved in because I would have loved to have read something similar when I was making such a huge decision but also because it is always nice hearing about someone else’s journey. Also, this has arrived at the most perfect time because I am in the process of deciding whether I want to go back to University and study for a second degree or masters.

Firstly, I thought I’d talk to you about what I decided to do. If you follow me on various social media platforms then you will know that I graduated last year with a 2.1 in Business Management (literally points away from a 1st- boo!) and to this day it still feels like a complete dream. I remember sitting in one of my first ever lectures and thinking to myself that this was going to be my life for the next 3 to 4 years but I kid you not, the time literally flew by…even whilst writing the dreaded dissertation! If you have been following my blog from the very beginning then you would know that I started my blog during my first year at university as a creative outlet whilst studying and it was one of the best things I ever did.

Like I mentioned above, I studied a Business Management degree. Originally my degree was set to run over four years, however, during my second year I decided a placement year was not for me anymore and opted to change my course to three years. Placements were something my sixth form were really pushing when we were applying, however, I guess I never really knew if it would be something beneficial for me until I started my degree. This is something you should consider when thinking about your course. At the time this seemed like the perfect decision for me and for what I was aiming for in regards to my future I personally feel I made the right decision.

University is such an exciting yet scary experience because you are literally pulled out of your comfort zone and everything you knew and just thrown into a selection of completely new scenarios. Even though I decided to stay local when choosing my university it was still such a nervous experience having to jump into something new that I knew would be my life for the next 3 to 4 years. I am such a quiet and shy person until you get to know me quite well so I was quite anxious diving into something new but I got there in the end!

I chose to study at my particular University because it offered me everything I wanted and more. It was close to home so I could still work alongside my degree and I felt extremely comfortable knowing I was still in an environment I knew quite well. Occasionally I wonder what life would have been like if I left to live away at university but I have no regrets. Sometimes the options that are on your doorstep turn out to be the best for you! Even though I decided to stay local whilst completing my degree I still had your typical university lifestyle and had all of the experiences that came along with it. I joined a few societies including the Cheerleading team (1st and 2nd year), I went out with friends, I went on dates, I dived into as many activities as I could and during my final year I even had the opportunity to become a student representative with one of my close friends…I did pretty much everything!

There are so many options when deciding which university to go to these days and if university is the right decision for you at all. I know so many people who decided university wasn’t for them and they have jumped into so many amazing opportunities. During sixth form at my Upper School I found they were quite pushy and pressurised us with university…even though they were not that helpful with it. To be completely honest I don’t think anyone knows for sure what he or she wants to do with their lives at 18…I mean I know you have an idea but it is quite daunting having to make such a big decision before experiencing it for yourself.  I think this was why I chose to study such a versatile degree; however, Business had always been something I really enjoyed and was always interested in. I studied Business at both GCSE and A Level but I also grew up in a very business oriented environment with my Dad having his own Advertising and Marketing business and was inspired by my Dad to have my own desire to succeed. Something I did look at when choosing my degree was the actual units involved – at the end of the day there are so many different Business courses. My Business Management degree covered so many great aspects from Accounting, Law, Marketing, Project Management, Operations Management and so much more.

When making such a huge decision don’t ever think that you are alone, there are so many different people you can talk to or resources you can find. There are a huge variety of forums, videos and groups online when you can speak to people who have done your degree or who can share their experiences with you. Don’t ever worry about asking a silly question because there are no silly questions when it comes to your life. These options are great if you can’t make a specific open day or you just want something to watch instead of reading through countless prospectuses (I literally had towers at home). St Mary’s University has made a selection of fantastic videos that can help you in your decision making process from the comfort of your very own home. They are doing so much to support individuals who are looking to go to University with the ‘Be Part Of It’ campaign. The campaign celebrates St Mary’s inclusive culture where students are encouraged to be a part of St Mary’s in everything from their course, to their halls, sports teams and extra curricular activities. They asked a number of existing student and alumni why they chose to ‘Be Part Of It’ and they came back with tons of reasons that covered everything from the campus, to the library, Students’ Union and more. I think this campaign is such a great idea because you don’t know what life at the University is going to be like until you are there yourself. This way you get to see and hear first hand experiences from students and alumni, which might help, make your overall decision easier.

Overall, I really do hope this post has helped you with making your university decisions – I think it is always nice hearing a little bit about someone else’s experiences. I didn’t go into too much detail about my overall university experience but if that were something you would like to hear about then please let me know. I hope you all enjoyed this post and I would love to hear your thoughts on the ‘Be Part Of It’ campaign and what yours plans are regarding university. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests of if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

Geek Girl | All That Glitters

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a great week so far. Like I have mentioned in a few of my previous post, one of my new years resolutions this year was to be more diverse when it comes to my blog - I thought today I would bring you something that is at the other end of the spectrum; a book review. Back in 2013 I was given the opportunity to collaborate with Holly Smale, the author of the Geek Girl series and now I have been given another fabulous opportunity with a little surprise at the end of this post. If you would like to read my previous post you can do so my clicking here. Even though it takes me a while to choose a book I really like, there is nothing I love more than diving into a good book that I just can't put down. When I was asked to take a read through Holly Smale's newest Geek Girl addition I jumped at the chase as I have loved the series to date. There will be some spoilers in this post so if you want to read to book without reading *too* into the story I would either click out of this review or scroll right down to the bottom where there is something interesting waiting for you. So sit back, relax, grab a cup of tea and lets get reading.

Firstly, a little bit behind the author. Holly Smale was spotted by a top London modelling agency at the age of fifteen. By the time Holly had graduated from Bristol University with a BA in English Literature and an MA in Shakespeare she had given up modelling and set herself on the path to becoming a writer. Even though Holly is still quite new to the literature scene her Geek Girl was the no.1 bestselling young adult fiction in the UK in 2013 - such an amazing achievement! Originally meant to be a trilogy, the Geek Girl series will now become a six book completion and I am very much looking forward to see what else is in store for Harriet Manners; the humorous fictitious 15-year-old who tries out modelling.

All That Glitters is the fourth instalment to the Geek Girl series and it is such a great read that will keep you wanting to read more. A littl detail I really like with this edition is the fact that it is hardback - don't get me wrong I do love the other books I have but I think hardback adds a little something. In this book Harriet Manners has high hopes for her new school year. She's a sixth former now and things are set to be different (Ohh how I remmeber my sixth form years!). But with Nat busy falling in love at college (the best friend) and Toby preoccupied with a Top Secret project (the stalker), Harriet soon discovers that's not necessarily a good thing. It is very clear that Harriet's story progresses in this edition and she grows into an even more loveable character that I think a lot of girls can relate to. Even thought the title may suggest everything is going to be super sparkly it turns out to be not exactly how it seems. Of course there are handfuls of fun moments, however, there is an emotional side that you can't help but get stuck in to. Harriet deals with a range of different experiences with popularity, modelling and friendship and you can't help but feel for her.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading the next instalment to the Geek Girl series and knowing there is a fifth and sixth instalment makes me rather excited. It is such an uplifting book that offers some great advise along the way. If you would like to give the latest edition or any of the editions a read for yourself you can purchase them from any good book store and also online at Amazon. Not only was I lucky enough to receive and review the book myself but I am also able to give a selection of goodies away to 12 of my lovely readers. I have 10 pairs of sparkly glasses to giveaway and also 2 full sets of the Geek Girl series (1-4). So take a peek at the rafflecopter widget below to find out how you could be in a chance of winning! Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencils

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and have had a lovely weekend so far! I have been a little quiet over on the blog recently, however, with good reason I promise. I don't think there are the right words to express how much my blog and the community means to me so I cannot wait to finally share it with you all. Look at me getting on soppy today haha.

I have a selection of collaborative lifestyle posts heading your way within the next week so I thought I would talk to you about some gorgeous lip products that I have absolutely been loving lately to mix it up a little. I picked the Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencils up in my local Boots around a month ago and I am seriously impressed with them. I was a little late on the bandwagon with these as they have been released for quite a while now but I had seen them prop up on Instagram quite a lot recently and thought it was about time I gave them a try myself. These Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencils have been dubbed by the beauty community as Nars Velvet Lip Pencil dupes. I have both in my collection and I have to say that they do come in pretty close - I mean who doesn't love a great dupe product that comes in at a fraction of the cost?!

The entire collection consists of 10 beautiful shades, however my local Boots only had three of those in stock at the time I stopped by to pick a few up (sobs). You can usually tell if a product is well loved by it's availability at the drugstore and seeing the shelf almost completely empty did add some encouragement to the product. Having such a large variety of shades means that there is going to be a shade available for pretty much everyone, I love how they have a range from nudes, pinks, reds and berry shade. I really wish they had Berry Much in stock at the time I went because it looks like such a gorgeous shade - potentially even a MAC Rebel dupe! When I first set my eyes on the packing I thought they were really cute and would be easy to travel with. I really like how the packaging has an accent of the shade at the end of the pencil so it helps to easily identify the shades, especially if you are in a hurry. The pencil format makes application a total breeze! I like to outline my lips with the pencil to get (try) and get a crisp line before filling my lips in.

Now onto the formulation, which I was completely blown away by. At first glance the pencils look quite drying, however, once the product meets your lips it instantly resembles that of a regular lipstick in a bullet format. The pencils are extremely creamy and offer almost an instant opacity in one swipe - fabulous or what?! Once applied to my lips I noticed they lasted a good few hours before I felt like I had to reapply. Even thought I felt like I needed to reapply it wasn't too extreme - I just topped up ever so slightly it probably wasn't even necessary. Also, adding another layer of product over the first application did not cause any cakeyness or drying of the product - it still look extremely seamless like I had applied it for the first time.

Minimalist was probably one of the shades that I wasn't overly fussed about, however, I grew to love it more after using it for the first time. This was definitely one of those 'don't judge a book by its cover' moments. It is a very neutral light pink shade with slight hits of shimmer which are not overly overpowering. It is definitely one of the lighter shades in the collection but it is still beautiful non-the-less. I feel it could be a great MAC Shy Girl dupe - however it is not as pinky. Love My Pink was one of the shades I was very excited about giving a try as I am quite partial to a pink lip! It is a very gorgeous girly shade with an ever so slight frost sheen (nothing too noticeable) that just adds that perfect pop of pink to any outfit. I feel this could be a subtle version of MAC Pink Nouveau. Light It Up was another shade I was really excited to try as I have really been loving red shades recently. This is a beautiful bold Marilyn Monroe Red that would look absolutely gorgeous on anyone. If you are looking for a MAC Red or Lady Danger alternative then this would be the shade for you.

I hope you all enjoyed todays post - I would love to know your thoughts on the Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencils! Like always lovelies, If you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

What do you think about the Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencils? Would you give them a try?

Viva Glam Miley Cyrus

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous weekend so far. Happy Mothers Day to all of the yummy mummies out there. I feel so blessed to be spending my Sunday with my amazing Mother. I won't go on too much about it as I have literally posted about it everywhere but I really do feel blessed to have been gifted a Mother who I get to share an unbreakable bond with. She has been there to laugh with me, be proud of me and to be happy for all of the good things in my life - she is my best friend.

Enough of my emotional rambles and back into today's post. If you saw my recent Duty Free Haul then you will know that my parents kindly brought the new Viva Glam Miley Cyrus duo back for me from their recent travels. There is just something so special about MAC lipsticks that I just can't resist and over the years I have built up a lovely little collection. I have only ever done a few MAC lipstick reviews so if you would like to read those I will link them at the bottom of this post for you.

When MAC official announced that they would be teaming up with Miley Cyrus to bring us the newest addition to the Viva Glam range I literally could not contain myself. I remember seeing the first campaign pictures on the MAC and Miley Cyrus Facebook pages and couldn't resist posted them on my Twitter feed where I had many a conversation with my fellow bloggers and lovely followers on the new launch. When I just started getting into makeup and diving into MAC, Lady Gaga had just brought out her first Viva Glam Gaga (which I purchased 4 of) and since then MAC have teamed up with the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna to bring us some iconic lip shades with such a great story and cause backing them. The only sad thing is the shades are always Limited Edition so if you love them you need to stock up - I know I will need to add a few more Viva Glam Miley's to my collection before the year is up.

At first glance I just knew that this duo was going to be absolutely gorgeous and when I finally swatched them I instantly fell in love. MAC describes the lipstick as a hot pink and it definitely is a medium-dark fushia pink with a satin finish that simply looks stunning. The formulation is amplified which means the consistency is on the creamier side and leaves a glossy finish - even though the formula is glossy it definitely leaves an opaque coating on the lips and has great lasting power. I found as the lipstick started to wear away it left a lovely stain to the lips which makes it easier to touch up throughout the day if needed.

The Lipglass on the other hand is not so pigmented as the lipstick, however, it is still beautiful none-the-less. MAC describes the lipglass as a hot pink with sparkling pearls, however to me I feel it is a sheer, super sparkly lighter fushia shade with hints of aqua shimmers in the formulation. The consistency of the lipglass is that of the permanent line and is quite tacky, however, I don't really mind it. Worn alone the lipglass adds an instant plump effect to the lips with gorgeous shimmer - worn over the lipstick it adds a super gorgeous top coat which just finished the Viva Glam Miley Cyrus look off.

Overall, I think MAC and Miley have created a gorgeous hot pink lip duo that I think everyone will love. The founders of MAC, Frank Angelo and Frank Toskan, branded together with the MAC artists to create the MAC Aids Fund in 1994 with an idea to make a different in the world with a community outreach for HIV and AIDS. The idea of Viva Glam was to celebrate life and the outspoken attitude of the company. It was a connective tissue that encompassed the diversity of MAC and its mantra...all ages, all races, all sexes. I think it is absolutely amazing that 100% of the selling price goes towards this great cause. I think this is going to be one of those shades that is going to be perfect for Spring / Summer and I already know that I will be getting lots of use out of it. I really loved how the lipstick was super opaque yet extremely creamy making it a dream to wear. The Viva Glam Gaga I has to be hands down one of my favourite ever MAC lipstick shades and I think Viva Glam Miley Cyrus is going to be a close favourite also!

I hope you all enjoyed this post and I would love to know your thoughts on the new MAC x Miley Cyrus team and what you think of the new lipstick duo. Like always lovelies, If you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

What do you think of the Viva Glam range and this new shade? Will you be picking it up?

My 3000 Follower Giveaway ft. Chanel & More

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and have had a fabulous weekend. If you follow me on my various social media platforms then you will know that my blog hit 3000 Bloglovin' followers a few weeks ago and I still seriously cannot believe it. I have also hit a few other milestone on Twiiter, Facebook and Instagram that I thought I would go a little more luxurious with this giveaway! I started my blog during my first year at University as a creative outlet for myself where I could ramble on about all the things I love in life without the fear of being judged. Although you get the odd individual who thinks they are a keyboard warrior I have to say I have had an incredible blogging journey so far and I am so excited to see what the future has in store for me. I remember when my blog reached 10 followers, then 100 and then 1000 and you just don't know how much it means to me. When I started blogging I just never thought it would grow into something it is today - I just couldn't imagine myself not blogging as it has evolved into such a huge part of my life. I feel so blessed to have a blog that is surrounded by so many lovely readers and I really just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to follow, read a post or leave a lovely comment.

I mentioned on twitter and in a previous blog post that I was planning an exciting giveaway for you all for hitting this huge milestone. This giveaway has been in the planning stages for a while now and  you do not know how excited I am to finally share it with you all. As you can see from the pictures this will be my biggest and most exciting giveaway to date and I really hope you like what I have put together for you all. I have put so much thought into every detail as I wanted to give the winners the opportunity to win a selection of my favourite pieces and products and I hope it portrays how much I appreciate my lovely readers. To celebrate my 3000 follower milestone I have decided to giveaway three different prizes, which means there will be not ONE but THREE winners who will each receive something different! I really wish I could give each and every one of you a little something but I thought by doing it this way it will give everyone a better chance of winning something. I also wanted to say that I will be purchasing all of the winning prizes with my own money - no one is sponsoring this giveaway as it is purely a gesture of good will to say thank you.

Winning Prize No. 1 | Chanel Classic Stud Earrings

As most of you will probably know Chanel has evolved into one of my favourite brands and there is something so special about receiving a little black box wrapped in Chanel embossed ribbon. This was the item I gave so much though into when decided what to include in this giveaway - I wanted to include something really special that would last a life time. I thought I would give one of the lucky three winners the opportunity to win a pair of Chanel Classic Stud Earrings as they are such a cult piece that Chanel offer. I purchased my first pair of earrings back in 2012 and they have become a staple piece in my everyday wardrobe and their quality is simply outstanding. I would like to note that the winner will be winning a completely new and unopened pair of earrings and they will arrive with full proof of purchase and authenticity.

Winning Prize No. 2 | Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette & Lipstick

I was first introduced to Charlotte Tilbury last January after picking up my first ever palette in Selfridges. Ever since then my love affair for Charlotte Tilbury has completely escalated and I have slowly been growing my collection. If I really had to choose I would say my favourite palette is the Dolce Vita and my favourite lipstick is Bitch Perfect - although I must say I absolutely LOVE everything throughout the entire brand. I have had such a great response from my handful of Charlotte Tilbury posts that I thought I would give someone the opportunity to win an eyeshadow palette and lipstick of their choice. I cannot stress enough how outstanding Charlotte Tilbury products are and the rose gold packaging is just so stunning! Please note that the winner can choose any permanent line eyeshadow palette and lipstick.

Winning Prize No. 3 | Tom Ford Lipstick

I think you can never have too many lipsticks so I decided to give the third winner the opportunity to win a Tom Ford lipstick of their choice. I decided to go with Tom Ford not only because it is one of my favourite luxurious makeup brands but because I wanted to switch it up from your typical MAC lipstick giveaway which I did back when I hit 200 followers. To Tom Ford, there is no more dramatic accessory that a perfect lip. It is the focus of the face and it has the power to define a whole look and I love how lipstick has the power to change the way you look and feel. Each lip colour Tom Ford offers is a modern ideal of an essential makeup shade and I cannot wait to see what shade the winner picks out for themselves - I may have to get myself one too haha.

The Giveaway Rules

1. You MUST be following my blog through GFC & Bloglovin' to qualify
2. This Giveaway will run from 8th March 2015 until 1st May 2015
3. I am using Rafflecopter for this giveaway so please follow the instructions on the widget. Obviously, the more you enter the better the chance of winning this giveaway

Good luck everyone!

World Duty Free Haul | March 2015

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous weekend so far! I thought I would share a few goodies my parents very kindly brought me back from their recent travels. The only thing I actually asked my parents to bring me back was my beloved Benefit Gimme Brow so I was over the moon when I saw they had picked me up a few extra surprise goodies. My parents are always so interested and keen to see what is going on with my blog so they are forever offering me advise and occasionally pick me up some new goodies to feature on my blog. If you would like to see individual reviews on any of the products mentioned then please let me know.

If you have seen my previous few posts then you would understand my obsession with lipstick and I personally feel you can never have too many. When I saw that the new MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus collection was part of the goodie pack I literally squealed with excitement. I must admit I am a little late on the bandwagon as it was released a little while ago now but I am so glad I have added it to my collection, MAC lipsticks are my guilty pleasure. I have to say that the new lipstick and lipglass are absolutely stunning and both apply like a dream - expect a review heading your way soon.

The Benefit Gimme Brow was the product I initially asked for because it has become one of my holy grail brow products in my makeup routine. I am still a little baffled why I haven't featured it on my blog in a review of brow routine but never-the-less it is an incredible product and I haven't stopped using it since I picked on up when it first launched. Benefit never seem to disappoint when it comes to their products.

When I unwrapped my goodies to find a Jo Malone box and cologne I literally could not contain myself, especially when I saw that it was a bottle of Pomegranate Noir! Jo Malone has become one of the brands that I seriously cannot get enough of and now I have another beautiful fragrance to add to my little collection. Pomegranate Noir is one of Jo Malone's cult fragrances and I can see why because it smells absolutely delicious. I wore it a few times for work this week and I was amazed at how long the scent lingered for - I could smell it all day long and I think that is so rare to find these days! I do love it when a fragrance lasts and you don't need to reapply constantly throughout the day. Pomegranate Noir is a sensual scent that has juicy pomegranate, raspberry and plum within the formulation with hues of pink pepper which is laced with Casablanca lily and spicy woods - so scrumptious!

I hope you all enjoyed this evenings haul post - I haven't done of these in a while as I am trying to shop my stash at the moment until I get my makeup collection organised how I have always dreamed it to be... however, a few new goodies never hurt anyone haha! I am so excited about each and every one of these products and I cannot wait to use them a little more and bring you some reviews. I would love to know your thoughts on everything above and if you have any tips or tricks whilst using them. Like always lovelies, If you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

What makeup and beauty goodies are on your wish list at the moment?

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Collection | March 2015

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous weekend so far. Here is to chapter 3 of 12 and to the first day of spring. I am pretty excited for the start of spring with the weather (hopefully) getting warmer, the mornings getting light, the evenings staying light for longer and of course being able to whip out all of my spring and summer favourites. Firstly, I wanted to start this post by saying THANK YOU because I hit 3000 bloglovin' followers this week which was a huge deal. I am planning a pretty exciting giveaway for you all so stay tuned for that! Last Sunday I brought you a Collective MAC Lipstick Haul so today I thought I would keep within the lipstick theme and bring you my Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Collection. I think lipstick has got to be one of my favourite pieces of makeup and I just love the way it can change the way you look and feel. Before I started my blog I was never that adventurous when it came to my lipstick, I never used to think bright lipstick suited me and I think I just didn't feel that confident whilst wearing them. Oh boy how times have changed! I cannot believe what a few years of blogging and being in the beauty community has done to me - now I can't get enough of them! I have accumulated a lovely little collection over the past four months and I cannot wait to add more to my collection.

There is something about Charlotte Tilbury's brand that I just cannot resist. Her lipsticks in particular are like nothing I have tried before and I was so excited when I added my first shade to my collection back in November. It was so hard to narrow it down to one shade that would be the perfect all rounder until I ventured out and added a few more to my collection, however, I finally decided on Bitch Perfect (such a great name) and it literally kicked off a love affair. The packaging is simply phenomenal and I am totally in love with the rose gold theme. If you are a regular reader of my blog then you will understand my obsession with rose gold - I think it is just beautiful. The one thing about having a fully metallic packaging is the fact that it is prone to finger prints, however, the rose gold beautiful-ness compensates for that and I would still purchase them regardless!

Let's start off with Bitch Perfect; this is such a beautiful pinky-nude that works amazingly with Pillow Talk Lip Cheat also by Charlotte Tilbury. The signature range consists of 11 lipsticks which have been curated with modern and classic icons in mind. This particular formula is enriched with a breakthrough, secret ingredient, the Lipstick Tree, and anti-oxidants that naturally protects lips from UV damage and external pollution leaving them cashmere soft and irresistible. As you can see from the swatch Bitch Perfect is a very creamy lipsticks and this is due to the special waxes and clever light-diffusing pigments in the formulation which help create pert, full-bodies, ultra-brilliant lips that will surely leave a lasting impression. I love how versatile this shade is and I think it would look beautiful paired with natural makeup during the day or even with a more sultry dramatic look for the evenings. Next we have Confession; this was a limited edition lipstick that was part of the Supermodel Look Video Box that was release at the end of 2014 - you can still purchase the box from selected websites/stores and if you would like to see a review of it you can click here. Unfortunately, you can't purchase this shade alone however I am sure there would be something similar within the permanent collection that would be a great alternative - Bitch Perfect alone is a pinky version. Confession is a dusky, tawny nude flecked with pure gold particles which was inspired by the full, ample lips or Helena, Christy, Naomi, Cara, Joan and Adriana. Charlotte Tilbury calls this here genius full proof shade as it suits absolutely everyone and I think I would have to agree with that statement. Combined with the glorious golden flecks this makes the most perfect and unique nude shade.

Next we have Lost Cherry; this is a bright yet pastel coral shade that is sure to be a statement during the spring and summer time. Compared to the previous two shades Lost Cherry has a different formulation and offers a luminous modern-matte finish. Charlotte Tilbury calls these the matte lipsticks of the future with their long-lasting, buildable and hydrating formula - they honestly feel so comfortable on the lips. Lost Cherry is lovely for a fresh and effortlessly gorgeous look and is also perfect for a Kate Bosworth, Felicity Jones or Cara Delevingne inspire look. Next we have So Marilyn; like the name suggests is a classic Marilyn Monroe red shade which was inspired by the icon herself. When I was picking this shade out in store I was torn between this and Love Bite but I am so glad I opted for this shade - it is a deeper toned red much like MAC Russian Red and it looks stunning on the lips, especially paired with a winged eyeliner look. I am sure I will add Love Bite to my collection at some point though - I would love to eventually own the entire collection, however, it will probably take a little time to accumulate them all. I am very much looking forward to pairing this lipstick with my Dolce Vita Palette! Finally, but certainly not least we have Glastonberry; this was a shade I was most excited about adding to my collection after falling in love with MAC Rebel. This has the exact same formulation as Lost Cherry and I have to say that the matte formulation is simply stunning. Firstly, I absolutely love the name that Charlotte came up with for this lipstick - although each lipstick from the collection have such fun names. True to its name this is a plummy purple berry shade and I am completely in love with it and just like Lost Cherry this feels so comfortable on the lips with incredible staying power. Even though the spring and summer month are upon us I have full confidence that I will be wearing this shade - there are no rules when it comes to makeup and dark shades don't have to be just for the autumn and winter time.

Now, I think we all need to take a moment to appreciate the exquisite rose gold packaging. If you are a regular reader of my blog then you will know my obsession with all things rose gold and I have to say Charlotte has really hit it on the nail...it is just so dazzling! I hope you all enjoyed diving into my Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Collection, I have fallen head over heels for the brand and I cannot wait to expand my collection even more. If you would like to see any full reviews or makeup tutorials featuring these lipsticks then please let me know I would be more than happy to come up with some makeup looks. I hope you all enjoyed this post, I would love to know your thoughts on the lipsticks mentioned above and if you have any tips and tricks whilst using them. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!
