I hope you are all doing well! So, it's February which means Valentines Day is just around the corner so expect to see lots of themed posts propping up on the blog and on my various social channels. I am a single pringle but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate Valentines Day with all the other people you love. I'm actually off to watch the new 50 Shades of Grey movie this evening with the girl band and I'm looking forward to our little Galentines Day outing. Rambling aside I thought today I would share with you this months Glossybox which is themed all around Valentines Day...very appropriate considering it is only a few days away. This Limited Edition box contains 4 full size products with the addition of one deluxe sample and I was pleasantly surprised with the contents. I feel like the content this month is the perfect combination to help you get ready for that special Valentines Day date!
I always love how Glossybox add a special twist to their limited edition boxes. I really like how they have added a pink and monochrome twist to this box with LOVE in bold on the front - it just screams Valentines Day! Also, usually Glossyboxes arrive in a black box that protects the box through transit, however, this month they were a pretty pastel pink - how cute?! It's all about the little details.
The first item I was drawn to in the box was this beautiful Ciate London Paint Pot in Iced Frappe. Admittedly, this is the first full sized paint pot in my collection as I've only ever tried samples that I've got through magazines. I love having a fresh manicure and even though colour is always fun sometimes there is nothing like finding the perfect nude shade. I am a huge fan of this pinky taupe shade and the coffee undertones make it perfect for any skin tone. These nail polishes are usually £9 each so the box has basically paid for itself already - perfecto!
MeMeMe Beat the Blues in Oyster Gold | Full Size
The second item I pulled out of the box was this gorgeous glowing highlighter. I wrote a brand overview around MeMeMe a few years back which you can read here and I have always been really impressed with them as a brand. Boost the radiance of a winter-weary complexion with this iridescent skin illuminator. A hero product which is ideal at creating that youthful and dewy finish to the skin that is perfect for a romantic makeup look. The shade is described as an oyster gold but to me it definitely has more of a rose gold hue which I absolutely love. Dot this glowy concoction on to your brow bone, cheek bones, down the bridge of the nose and on the cupids bow for a highlighted look or add a small amount to foundation for an all over radiant glow. Also, for £7.25 this is an absolute bargain product!
Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasure Strength Restore Balm | Deluxe Sample
This is the only deluxe sample within this months box and if it had to be anything I am glad it was from a brand I know and love well. This hair mask harnesses the hydrating properties of honey to leave hair nourished and glossy. Squeeze excess water from freshly washed hair and smooth this beauty over mid-lengths and ends for the ultimate effect. Leave it to works it's magic for 5 minutes and rinse for transformed hair. I used this sample earlier in the week and I I have already added this to my shopping list - it is such a great product and it smells incredible. I would definitely recommend.
Using mineral-rich volcanic paste, this mask cleanses and purifies. Enriched with anti-ageing ingredients, it also plumps and smoothes the skin. Apply this pink mask (love that it is pink!) and watch it magically turn grey as it gets to work removing impurities and dead skin cells. What's more, it's paraben and silicone free, vegan and 90% natural! This product is originally £26 and for only 30ml of product I am not so sure this is something I would re-purchase unless I 100% saw it make a change in my skincare routine. At the moment I think I am more sold on the fact that is magically changes for pink to grey but I know that I should never judge a book by its cover. I will be sure to follow up with a full review of this product soon.
Jeanne Arthes L'Eau de Rose | Full Size
Finally but certainly not least, the last item I pulled out of the box was this gorgeous Jeanne Arthes L'Eau de Rose perfume which fits in with the Valentines Day theme perfectly. This is a 30ml size bottle and retails at £20. This is the first time I have heard of Jeanne Arthes but according to Glossybox she has spent 35 years working closely with master perfumers from Grasse, the centre of the perfume world, to create modern fragrances with an elegant French twist. Rose is having a moment and this delicate fragrance is s wonderfully modern and reinvention, combining the classic scent with dreamy, elegant and crisp notes. Now, if you are not a huge rose scent fan then you might not like this scent but never-the-less it was lovely seeing a rose scented product within this Valentines box.
Overall, I was really impressed with this months Valentines Day themed box and I can't wait to see what is in store for March. I was pleased with every single product and it was great to see how each product complimented each other as if you were getting ready for a date etc. For a £10 box (plus p&p) you are definitely getting your value for money. With 4 out of 5 full size products including a 30ml perfume it is a no brainer. There was something for your body, hair, nails and face - the perfect goodie pack to kick start your Valentines beauty routine. If you would like to compare the contents to last years Valentines Day themed box you can read my review here.
