Hello My Lovelies,
I hope you are all doing well and have had a wonderful weekend. I thought today I would take a step back and share some inspiring words of wisdom with you all. It is no secret that I love a good quote and sometimes they are exactly what we need to perk us up when we are in need of some inspiration, motivation or something to deal with the haters. I was inspired to put my own twist on this after reading India's post a few weeks ago and I thought today would be a great day to share it with you...especially as I have been absent from my blog for a few weeks now and feel like these words are something I definitely need to hear to get me back on track. There are so many different quotes that inspire me on a daily basis but I thought I would share 10 that really stand out to me.
"Rome Wasn't Built In A Day"
This has to be one of my all time favourite quotes...and that's not just because I'm Italian and Rome is one of my favourite cities in the whole world. All good things take time and this quote reminds me that we shouldn't just expect to accomplish something or achieve success immediately. We have to put in the hard work, the determination and good things will come.
"Don't Compare Your Chapter 1 To Someone Else's Chapter 20"
Yet again, this has to be one of my all time favourite quotes and you will regularly find me tweeting this and quoting it at events. Comparison is the thief of joy! We are all unique and ultimately we will each have our own individual stories and journeys to whatever we want to achieve. It doesn't matter who, what, when, how or why but we all started from somewhere and we should be using these acknowledgements as stepping stones of inspiration. Life is too short and we should all be lifting each other instead of knocking each other down!
"A Flower Does Not Think Of Competing With The Next Flower, It Just Blooms"
You can see a slight theme going on here but I think one of the main things that stops us achieving our goals is comparison and competition. There is so much of it these days within in all aspects of life but there really should't be. Don't worry about anything...just be yourself and bloom!
"What Would Blair Waldorf Do?"
This is such an iconic quote and yet again, one of my all time favourites. Blair Waldorf is one of the main characters in the ever so popular Gossip Girl series (I am currently re-watching it at the moment!). Best friend to Serena Van Der Woodsen, and eventual wife to Chuck Bass, she's the tough but tender and super inspirational 'Queen B' of the Manhattan social scene. Every now and again, when I am feeling a little low I just think "What Would Blair Waldorf Do?" - I even have a blog planner with this quote on that keeps me super organised and inspired.
"Have Courage And Be Kind"
This is a life lesson that one of my favourite Disney movies taught us. There will be times where things will seem incredibly difficult and you may question your direct but just remember to live your life with courage and kindness and life will be good to you in return. Sometimes life may take you to unhappy situations, but you do not need to have that define who you are. No matter how bad it may seem, don't let your anyone drag you down.
"Don't Be Afraid Of Pressure. Pressure Is What Transforms A Piece Of Coal Into A Diamond"
I sound like a broken record but this is another one of my favourite quotes. This quote reminds me that you can overcome anything that life throws your way...and ultimately any pressure that comes with it. Don't be afraid of a little challenge, at the end of the day you might feel like a piece of coal now but later on down the line you will be a beautiful diamond!
"Never Stop Looking Up"
This quote initially hit me when I was in Dubai last summer. I remember sitting outside, it must have been around 11pm and seeing the beautiful moon peek out behind the stunning Atlantis Hotel. Sometimes we are so stuck in looking ahead or brainwashed in thinking a certain way because of constant negativity but never forget to look up. You are worth so much.
"Shoot For The Moon. Even If You Miss You'll Land Amongst The Stars"
I adore this quote and it motivates me on a daily basis. Don't be afraid to set yourself goals, even if they sound kind of crazy and unachievable. If you reach them then that is absolutely incredible, however, even if you are not quote there yet you have still achieved so much! It is always better to push yourself beyond your perceived abilities because you will end up accomplishing more that if you had just aimed low. You got this!
"Believe You Can And You Are Half Way There"
Can you tell I love an inspirational and motivational quote?! Believing in ourselves is so important and really, once you realise that you are capable of greatness and believe you are able to achieve anything you can put your mind to, you have already won half of the battle!
"Just Wing It...Eyeliner, Life, Everything"
I think this quote speaks for itself. Life is too short and even though it is great to have an idea of what you want to do with your life, don't be afraid to live in the moment too. Eat that second slice of cake if you want to, go on that date, rock that fierce eyeliner look, have an outfit change half way through the day, book a spontaneous vacation...you could do anything! Forget about all of the worries, insecurities, haters and do what you want to do.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to hear about my favourite quotes. I'll hold my hands up and say that I am still working on some of these but they are making me a stronger person every single day and I really hope that they can help or have helped you in some way too. If you have an additional quotes that you would love to share then please post them in the comments below. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you would like to chat please feel free to contact me on my social media, email or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment...they truly make my day!
