I hope you are all doing well and are having a wonderful weekend so far. I have partnered up with I Heart Wines to share with you a few of my top tips for making sure you have the perfect girls night in. These days, our lives are becoming super hectic and we sometimes forget that we need some time out to destress and have some fun with our besties. Living in a hyper connected world means it can be difficult to make real time for your favourite people and coming from someone like me who is pretty much a workaholic, I can definitely hold my hands up and say that I could make more effort. Technology is amazing for keeping in contact, but nothing compares to special moments in real life where you can come together, eat good food and enjoy good wine!

I have decided to split this post into two parts. Part 1 is going to be all about my top tips for the perfect girls night in and of course, talk you through the fabulous I Heart Wines selection. Part 2 is going to be an upcoming girls night in I have planned with some of my favourites. So make sure you keep an eye out for that!
1. Rally your tribe
What would a girls night in be without your favourite girlies or guys?! I'm very lucky to have so many amazing people in my life and I could't think of anything better than spending some quality catch up time together. A little message into your bestie group whatsapp chat and you are good to go!
2. Movies & Music
So, you've got your girls and guys...now what? Let's grab the remote and throw on some chick flicks. I love a girly movie and I'll be the first one to put something on like The Notebook, Mean Girls, A Walk To Remember, Clueless and more. Alternatively, you can throw on your favourite Spotify playlist. I have a tone of playlists on my account (I'm @SophiaMeola if you'd like to check them out). I'm talking throwing it back to the 90s classics, a bit of KPop (my new obsession) or the current charts. Put them on shuffle and dance the night away.
3. Calories...the limit does not exist
That's right...on a girls night calories do not count. What would a girls night be without all of your favourite treats?! Order in your favourite takeaway, buy in all the chocolate, ice-cream and snacks or even do something at home that you can all get involved in. We've just had an authentic pizza oven built in our garden and I can't wait to have everyone round for a Pizza party!
4. Pamper Yourself
This is an absolute essential for any girls night in and one that always brings me back to some of the classic movies like Grease, The Hot Chick, Mean Girls and more. Whether you are using your favourite face masks with those oh so sexy cucumber eye pads, painting your nails, whipping out your favourite fake tan, styling your hair or playing around with some new makeup, always remember that it's ok to take some time out for yourself and have some fun!
5. Good Friends & Good Wine
I'll be honest, I've only started getting into drinking wine over the past year but it's been a love affair ever since. I'm not a big red wine drinker but pass me the White, Rosé, Prosecco or Champagne and I'll be happy haha. Not only does the brand scream blogger / Instagram but the quality of the wines themselves are just lovely. They would make gorgeous gifts and of course, they are perfect treats for nights in with the girls. I love this entry about the girls night in ❤️In a fast paced world with so much to do and not enough hours in the day I am truly grateful for my get togethers with my besties. I have one coming up in a couple of weeks with my uni girls - 13 years after graduating we still to get together at least a couple of times a year. When we do we just pick up where we left off and it is like we've never been apart. Add some fizz & food & it's the the perfect combo.
