Love Me Beauty Box | September 2014

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing really well! It is that time of the month again where I bring you the latest Love Me Beauty Box...so grab a cup of tea and lets see whats inside this months box shall we! This is the fifth instalment I have received after trying the subscription box out for the first time in May 2014. My opinions have remained the same every single month and I honestly think they are a great goodie box to receive as a treat or even as a gift.

First off you might be thinking something is a little different...Love Me Beauty have recently undergone a re-brand. I absolutely loved everything about them before but I am just a little bit obsessed with the new Silver and Rose Gold detailing on their new packaging...I mean you guys know my obsession with Rose Gold! The overall look now is very chic and luxurious with the new box packaging and drawstring bag inside which can both be reused for your own pleasure. They will make perfect beauty storage in any makeup collection. There is a little side of me though that misses the bright and fun colours of the previous boxes with the little menus...but change is good and I am excited to see what future boxes will look like and include.

Another little change is the contents every month. Where as before you would have the option to choose out of three menus, Love Me Beauty have now developed a new concept which allows subscribers to create their own beauty profile with the option to choose exactly what goes into you box with credits. Like the boxes, the website has had a little re-vamp also. When you sign up to the website you will be directed to a section where you will need to answer a few beauty related questions about your preferred makeup item, skin type, hair type and colour etc which then allows Love Me Beauty to give you a range of suggestions which will best suit you. The website then generates you six credits to pick the exact contents of your box. Overall, most items are worth one or two credits depending if they are sample of full sized, so this could potentially mean you could walk away with a minimum of three products or a maximum of six. It also tells you when your credits are next due to renew and you can start the next month all over again...for example, my boutique next opens on 5th October.

I know that seems like a lot to take in but I assure you it is super easy and extremely exciting using the new website and concept. The only thing that has remained the same for Love Me Beauty is the boxes value. It still costs only £10.00 plus an additional p&p charge.

Percy & Reed Eau My Goodness Shine & Fragrance Spray 50ml | RRP 100ml £22.00

The first product is this Percy & Reed Eau Goodness Shine & Fragrance Spray. Is it  fragrance? Is it a shine spray? This nifty little product is actually both and I have to say it is such a lovely product. This is the second ever Percy & Reed product I have tried and to be honest the first time round I wasn't that impressed as it smelt a little funky. However, say that I have completely been converted with this product and this airy green, delicate fragrance evokes a glorious almost floral scent. This is the perfect dual-purpose jewel that not only makes your hair smell beautiful but also adds a dazzling shine.

Now, when I was putting my box together on the Love Me Beauty website I was under the impression this was going to be a full sized product in the box. No matter, this is still a great 50ml container that would be perfect for travelling and throwing into your handbag. A full sized bottle (100ml) is £22.00 which is a little on the pricey side alone but included in this box is an absolutely bargain even for the 50ml size.

Malin + Goetz Grapefruit Face Cleanser 29ml | RRP 236ml £25.00

Malin + Goetz is a completely new brand to me so I was excited to give it a try. What drew me to the cleanser essentially was the grapefruit ingredients...it just sounded so lovely. After doing a little research I discovered that Space NK stock this brand so it must be some magical stuff! According to Malin + Goetz this is a gentle cleansing gel that purifies the skins without drying, leaving everything perfectly balanced, hydrated and blemish-free. Sounds pretty perfect right?!

This foaming gel is Malin & Goetz's #1 best selling product and uses natural grapefruit extract and amino acid-based skincare agents to deeply cleanse skin without the need for harsh chemicals and drying detergents. Suitable for all skin types (what I love to see) the Malin + Goetz Grapefruit Face Cleanser  is ideal for those with sensitive or rosacea-prone skin, gently but thoroughly purifying without stripping the face of its vital natural oils. The naturally antibacterial grapefruit works to prevent breakouts and blemishes, leaving skin looking clearer and more radiant.

This is a 29ml sample product but I do love these as they are perfect for travel and for the girl on the go. Sample sized products are also great at trying out a product without the commitment of purchasing full size and being disappointed down the line and wasting money.

Oriflame The One 5-in-1 Wonderlash Mascara | RRP £8.95

Oriflame is a brand that has been around for many years and they recently re-launched their 5-in-1 Wonderlash Mascara and it is an absolute gem. I have used an Oriflame Mascara previously and I have to say it was pretty good. I do have more well-loved favourites but for an everyday mascara with no fuss this would be the perfect one to give a try. I have to say the brand house some great products and for £8.95 you are getting a great deal in a £10 beauty box!

Anatomicals Oi! You Throbhead Headache Relief Balm 20g | RRP £4.00

Firstly, what a fun name this product has! I think this was one of the products I was most excited about this month purely because I suffer quite bandy with headaches and I am always on the hunt for the next best product that will help relieve the pain. I have seen the brand prop up a few times whilst browsing through Asos.com so I was excited to finally give it a try in this months Love Me Beauty Box. They are well known for their bright colours and pretty cool packaging, not to mentioned the provocative attention-grabbing names haha. I love love love how the formulation is enriched with peppermint and lavender oil to create this soothing balm. I have been using it constantly since I received the box and I think it is a product I will definitely be repurchasing.

One thing I have to say is your hands can get a little messy after using this bad boy and please be careful not to rub your eyes after (guilty) as it is not pleasant. Never-the-less I love how it is perfect for the girl on the go, compact and easy to travel with. A little goes a long way with this little beauty so it will last you forever and for £4.00 I think that is pretty darn good.

I hope you all enjoyed taking a peek through this months Love Me Beauty Box! What did you think? I think this is only the start of a fabulous new look on the Love Me Beauty brand and I am super excited to see what they include in the future. If you like the look of this months box you can still get hold of one for yourself to try here. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

Lots of Love

  3. I'm a bit annoyed to be honest, I see on a few blogs that people got theirs in a box, mine just came in the bag. I'll be honest, I'm not keen on the new format or the products available. I will give them next month and then I'll see if I decide to keep up the subscription or not x

  4. Loved seeing what you chose for your first 'revamped' LMB box! I must admit i also sliiiightly miss the simplicity and cheerful nature of the previous boxes but there's no doubt they've stepped it up a notch - was so impressed with the products on offer!
I also got the cleanser! Cant wait to start using it! Didn't see the headache balm though - would have loved to have given that a whirl. xx

  12. I am also subscribed to LMB boxes - I received my last one without the new white box packaging which is only a small thing but I was disappointed.
I picked the hair shine spray too - LOVE it :)

  13. This does sound like quie a good approach to a beauty box - at least you know you'll want to use everything you get!
