5 Top Tips For Having The Ultimate Girls Night In | #ABowlShared

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a wonderful weekend. I have partnered up with Butterkist to share with you a few of my ultimate tips for the perfect girls night in. These days, our lives are busier than ever, and our chance of downtime is becoming more limited and even though I am pro technology (I even work for a technology company) - much of our contacts with friends and family is on a digital level. Living in a hyper contacted world means it can be difficult to make real time for your favourite people and coming from a workaholic like myself I can definitely holds my hands up and say that I could make more effort! Technology is amazing for keeping in contact, but there is nothing like special moments together. Here are a few of my top tips for hosting the ultimate girls night in!

1. Whats a girls night in without your favourite girlies (or boys!)

This is the girl bands first appearance on my blog and I could't be happier that they got to enjoy this collaboration with me. This is only 4/5 of the troop but they'll be making lots more appearances in 2017! Even though we could easily sit down together with no makeup, our hair tied back and in our comfiest and most unflattering clothes or pyjamas we decided to mix things up a bit. We took inspiration from Little Mix's Hair video and decided to throw on some silky dressing gowns, Victorias Secret night shirts, do our hair (yes, I am rocking Miley buns haha) and throw on some makeup to make the night even more fun! As long as you have your favourites girls around you then you will be comfortable doing anything!

2. Pass the remote!

So, you've got your girls...but now what? Let's grab the remote and see what's on the television. We watched countless hours of music channels...obviously singing along to all our favourite Little Mix and Fifth Harmony songs (Girl Power!) and also a tonne of movies onSky and NOWtv. If you didn't know, NOWtv is a subscription service where you can get Sky Cinema and Sky Entertainment channels and watch over 1000 unmissable movies. Safe to say that we were sorted for the night! We watched a few of our favourite chick flicks, something with a thrilled kick and more music videos!

3. Calories don't count on a girls night in

What is a girls night in without all of your favourite treats?! Given that calories don't count on a girls night in we decided to goths extra mile. We started the night off with a yummy Chinese takeaway and then popped open all three of the new Butterkist popcorn flavours; Choco Mallow, Coconut and Raspberry and Salted Caramel. All three new flavours were so delicious but I think Salted Caramel was my favourite, with Choco Mallow coming in at a very close second. I have a mega sweet tooth so I was in my element and I think Butterkist have really outdone themselves with their new flavours. Finally, we all know that Hot Chocolate is undoubtably one of my all time favourite hot drinks, so, I decided to whip up some really cute popcorn Hot Chocolates using the Cadbury Options Popcorn flavour with spray cream, marshmallows and popcorn to top for good measure. What do you think? I'm obsessed with them!

4. Pamper yourself

This is an absolute essential for any girls night in and one that always brings we back to some of the classic movies like Grease, The Hot Chick, Mean Girls and more. Whether you are using your favourite face masks with those oh so sexy cucumber eye pads, painting your nails, whipping out your favourite fake tan, styling your hair or playing around with makeup, always remember to take some time out for yourself!

5. Candles, candles and more candles

I think you feel more relaxed when your surrounding area matches your mood and the ambiance you are trying to go for. I think by now you would all know how much I adore candles and I couldn't not mention a few or seven in this post. Bright lights can be quite harsh when you are trying to have a relaxed evening in so don't be afraid to light up a handful of your favourite candles. A few of  my favourites are Vanilla Cupcake by Yankee Candle, Seychells by the White Company and Mahogany Teakwood by Bath and Body Works!

...and that's it! Five simple tips on how you can have have the ultimate girls night in! I hope you all enjoyed this girly inspired post - I love that I have been posting a lot more lifestyle content at the moment and showing a different side here on the blog.
