Hello My Lovelies,
I hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous week so far! We are into our 2nd day of #blogmas and I am still going strong...although I have probably spoken too soon haha. I thought today I would bring you another instalment to my 2014 Christmas Gift Guide with a treat from Soap & Glory. Every year without fail Soap & Glory release a range of Christmas goodies which always make it onto my wish list. I was extremely lucky and Santa's Elves must have been keeping a close eye as this glorious Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayons gift set landed on my doorstep and I couldn't not share it with you all.
Every year without fail a lovely Soap & Glory treat will land under my Christmas Tree and I always make sure to pick up the humongous gift box sets when they land in the sale before or after Christmas. I believe Soap & Glory released an almost identical gift set to this last year, except it hosted a few different lip shades and was dubbed the 'Loved & Glossed' gift set packaged in a Christmassy tin. Never-the-less, I am so glad they decided to re-release it for 2014 with a little twist. In a nutshell the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayons gift set is a decorative tin containing three full sized Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayons which usually retail for £8 individually. The three gorgeous shades included in this years set are Fuchsia-Ristic, Bashful and Raplumzel.
At first glance the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayons resemble to the Clinique Chubby Sticks, Bourjois Colour Boosts, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable and Colourburst Balm Stains and so many more. The style is nothing new, however, the formulation is so unique and glorious. Soap & Glory describe their Gloss Crayons as super-light and ultra-hydrating that glide effortlessly onto the lips, leaving behind an unmissably pretty sweep of creamy, moisture-rich colour & shine, which is all down to their GLOSS-FIX FINISH™ and ULTIMELT™ lip shine and shaping technology. There is definitely something special about these Gloss Crayons...when I first swatched them they literally just melted and glided onto my hand like a dream...something I have never seen before in a crayon like lip product!
True to the name these Gloss Crayons definitely leave a sheer glossy finish when applied, however, if you are looking for something with a more intensive and opaque colour then Soap & Glory offer a load of other lip options. The brightest shade of the three is Fuchsia-Ristic and the only shade that was featured in last years gift box. To the eye it looks like a neon orange shade, however, when swatched it transforms into a gorgeous peachy pink shade. Bashful is the most natural shade of the three coming in as a beautiful light pink shade which closely resembles MAC's Creme Cup. Finally, Raplumzel is the darkest of the three and is a gorgeous plum berry shade which is very appropriate for the winter months at the moment for a vampy festive lip (can vampy and festive even be used in the same sentence?!).
Overall, I am extremely impressed with this gift set and I already know I will be picking a few more up for gifts and stocking fillers this year. For £16 I think you are getting a great deal...you are basically buying two of the Gloss Crayons and getting one free with the added bonus of this fabulous tin which will come in super handy. I love how this year they have kept the tin design very simple and not specifically linked to Christmas...so if you did pick a few of these up in the January sales no one would ever know haha (shhh). If you would like to pick on up you can do so either online or in-store at Boots.
I hope you all enjoyed this post and found it helpful if you are currently on the hunt for some Christmas gift ideas! I think this would make the perfect gift for any beauty addict, lipstuff-lover or someone who is just starting to get into makeup. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!
Lots of Love
