Flamingo Candles | Macaroon & Almond High Tea

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous week so far! I am still out in Spain and I am really enjoying escaping everything and soaking up some sunshine...I really needed it after having an insanely stressful year with everything that has been going on and what else is to come. Something I always adore when I am feeling a little stressed out or not myself are candles. I always love talking about candles over on my blog as I literally have a huge obsession with them. I love how they make you feel, the scents they give off and how cute they look on display anywhere in a room. When I was contacted by the Flamingo Candles team about reviewing a candle from their new High Tea Collection I couldn't say no...I mean just look how cute it is!

If you are not sure who Flamingo Candles are, they are a fresh new brand offering fun and original collections of handmade, organic candles. Quirky contemporary designs, always making sure to incorporate their dapper friend Florrie the Flamingo. Each candle is handed-pured in Britain to the highest quality. Each candle is made with soybeans, natural cotton wicks and are all packed with unique, scrumptious fragrances. I was asked to choose a scent from the new High Tea collection and as soon as my eyes hit the Macaroon and Almond High Tea scent I just knew that was the candle for me. Macaroon and Almond is not a typical scent I would usually go for but I thought it would be lovely to try something new and see how it compare to the ever so famous Jo Malone Sweet Almond and Macaroon candle. When you first open the jar you are welcomed with a delightfully sugary Macaroon and Almond accord with dominant notes of sweet cherry and a hint of smooth coconut. It actually instantly reminded me of a bakewell tart and it smelt so incredible yummy! I think this would be an amazing dupe for the Jo Malone scent at only a fraction of the price!

The Flamingo Candles High Tea collection celebrates the great British teatime tradition of freshly cut sandwiches, indulgent pastries, sweet macaroons, delicious scones with jam and clotted cream, fruity preserves, all washed with a selection of loose teas. You can choose from five delectable fragrances to capture the sweet aroma of the tea room...Macaroon and Sweet Almond, Earl Grey and Cucumber, Lemon Curd, Darjeeling Tea and Blackcurrant Jam. How yummy do they all sound?!

Overall, I am completely in love with these candles and I am so intrigued to see how the others scents smell after giving this one a try. I think for £12 it is completely worth the extra splurge and would even make the perfect gift. I love how the packaging looks and how it looks sitting on my vanity...the cute flamingo on each candle jar is so lovely and you instantly know that it is part of the Flamingo Candles range. I also love how once the jars are empty they could be glammed up for makeup and beauty storage with some glitter, beads and ribbons! So far the burning time has been incredible, Flamingo Candles mention that you should get 50 hours and I think that is pretty much spot on.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! I would love to know what you think about Flamingo Candles and if you would give the Macaroon and Almond High Tea scent a try. If you would like to take a peek through the website you can do so by clicking here. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and I make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

Lots of Love
