Models Own Vacation Nails

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well! I am off on vacation this week so like usual i have tones of appointments to go to and get vacation ready haha. Yesterday myself and my Mum went to have our nails done and i thought i would share the nail polish combination that we went with…yes we got matching nails!! In honour of my vacation i decided to go with something quite bright, fun, girly and sparkly. I didn't realise until we were on our way to the nail bar that i grabbed two of my favourite Models Own polishes and it turned into a double Models Own Mani!

I am sure i have mentioned this before but we tend do bring our own nail polishes to the salon especially if there is something new we want to try. Our nail salon has a huge collection but sometimes it can be too overwhelming so we always come prepared. Shades was a new nail polish that we picked up last week in Boots whilst stocking up on some last minute vacation goodies. Blizzard is a shade you are probably sick of me showing you now as i am literally obsessed with it…this is a brand new bottle and no word of a lie i think i have gone through around five since first discovering it!

As you can see from the pictures above Shades is a gorgeous coral pink shade that just screams summer. You can see the colour really well in the pictures but i would say it is so much brighter in real life. Shades is part of the first-ever 'Polish for Tans' collection by Models Own which has been designed to enhance and compliment a natural tan. They have brought out five essential summer shades to highlight golden skin from sunrise to sunset. According to Models Own these tan-enhancing neon-pastel shades are the perfect combination of muted brights which are perfect for your inner beach babe…so i am literally hoping it will help me look even more sunkissed on vacation haha.

When i was in Boots last week the new Polish For Tans collection literally stood out to me, i though all of the polishes were gorgeous but one in particular caught my eye and i couldn't resist adding it to my basket. Shades is very similar to China Glaze's 'Flip Flop Fantasy' which is one of my all time favourite polishes. After the application i would say they are very similar and could be a great dupe.

I know what you are thinking…Sophia you have mixed a summer polish and a winter polish together! Well, Blizzard is an oldie but a goodie for me, i literally add it on top of all of my favourite nail polishes…when in doubt I will always add glitter! Blizzard is one of five of the magical polishes released in the Wonderland collection which consists of gradients of subtle to dense glitter. Blizzard layered up will literally add a snow storm effect to your nails but i find that one simple coat does the trick for me as it is so sparkly and intense.

Blizzard has to be by far one of my all time favourite sparkly polishes. It has chunky glitter in the formulation which i absolutely love and i am really regretting not stocking up whilst Models Own had their 50% off sale! Looking back i have paired this glitter with so many different nail polish combinations; pink, mint, red, white and so many more. I think this polish has gained holy grail status!

On this occasion we applied two coats of Shades, one coat of Blizzard and then a top coat to lock everything in. I opted to add the glitter on top not only because it looks pretty and i love it but i know it will last my entire vacation away without chipping (touch wood). I have packed a nail polish bag to bring away for peace of mind but when applied it's not going anywhere haha…you just need to make sure it is completely dry before doing anything otherwise you will get smudges because there is so much product layered!

I hope you all enjoyed this post! I would love to know your opinion on the polish combination. Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

What are your favourite nail polish combinations? Would you give this one a try?

Lots of Love
