Revlon Colourburst & Just Bitten Lip Balms

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well and are having a fabulous week so far. I you follow me on various social media sites then you will know something rather exciting happened today…i handed in my DISSERTATION! it has been a long eight months with tears, stress and everything else in-between but it's officially done and submitted haha. I am planning on doing a few posts on my University journey so let me know if you'd like to read something a little different.

This posts has been a long time coming! I think it must be January now when Boots had one of their first 2-for-2 offers of the year i decided to pop in a stock up on a few goodies, some of which were some Revlon lip products. The Just Bitten range is something i have tried before and one of my favourite shades is Cherish. It seems like forever ago now but Revlon launched some new additions to their lip balm range…the Colourburst Laqures Balms and Mattes Balms. Being the Boots offer was on 3-for-2 i decided to pick up one from each of the new collections. The time when i went in store topick them up a lot of the shades were out of stock (boo!) so for the third addition i had to go for an old favourite from the original Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain line.

Revlon Colourburst & Just Bitten Lip Balms | £5.99 & £7.99

Demure

Demure Colourburst Lacquer Balm is a warm-toned pinky peach shade with subtle hints of sparkles. As the formulation is a lacquer the colour pay off is not vivid or opaque, it just gives your lips the right amount of colour. It's very much a your lips but better shade, perfect for everyday use which is what i love to use it for. When i am in a hurry in the mornings for University, i swipe a little bit on my lips and i am good to go…it's adds a little life back into my complexion, you'll be surprised what a little lippie can do haha! I actually had to go pick up a spare of this shade as Mamma Meola stole my original one!

Unapologetic

Unapologetic Colourburst Matte Balm just screamed buy me in the store…it's a perfect pinky coral shade! Its such a vibrant and fun lip product that will be perfect for the summer months on the way. Initially, i was a little dubious over using a matte lip product as i find they can be quite drying on my lips, however, I was pleasantly surprised with how it lasted! I think they are a more moisturising matte lip product due to the fact they have Shea, Coconut and Mango butters in the formulation to nourish the lips. Unlike the lacquers you can definitely build this shade up to a more intense shade that you desire.

Honey

Honey Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm stain is an oldie but a goodie! Honey is a dusty pink nude shade perfect for everyday use yet again just like Demure. I think the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and the Lacquers are very similar in terms of glossiness and texture. This is such a gorgeous shade and i love wearing it when i have a little more smokey-ness going on with my eyeshadow…its very Kim K :D

Something i really like with the new additions to the Revlon lip product range is the packaging. It is something so simple and minute but i love how to Lacquer and Matte is replicated on the packaging itself. I just think it adds a little something extra! What do you think? I think for £5.99 and £7.99 you can't go wrong for a lip product that actually does the trick. I also adore the peppermint scent, someone once told me that peppermint was a natural lip plumper…fascinating stuff! These are going to be perfect summer staples and are so easy to throw in your bag on the go!

Overall, i have really been loving these new Revlon additions in my makeup collection and they have been getting lots of use. I am so glad i opted for these shades to start off with but it has tempted me even more ti give them all a try! Have you given them a try? If so, which are your favourite shades? I am thinking of doing a few makeup tutorials soon, definitely one with Unapologetic. So, pretty please let me know if that is something you would like to see also! Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!

P.S - It's that time of year again when the #CosmoBlogAwards have launched again. I am planning on writing a small post for you all about them but…if you do like my blog i would love you forever if you would consider nominating me for 'Best Established Beauty Blog'. If you do nominate please let me know so i can say a huge THANK YOU and send you a big ol' cyber hug!

  5. Ahh, they are so pretty! I love these- they're wind up (so no sharpening) and have such a good shade rang! And also now there's something for everyone because if matte isn't your thing, you've got the laquers! Xx
