Skinetica Anti-Blemish Treatment

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope you are all doing well! I'm so sorry for my lack of posting lately, the last two weeks have been super stressful at University and i had to cut myself off from the world haha.  I had 6 assignments that needed writing and handing in, in the space of two weeks :( However, I have the next two weeks off, so expect lots of posts coming your way haha :D On the plus side, i have 1 more assignment to write and an exam in May and then i'm finish for the summer, YAY! I've missed blogging and chatting to everyone on!

So, all these late nights and being overly stressed out with all these assignments has not been good to my body and my skin. I'm not eating right, not drinking enough water and my skin has seen such better days. My skin can be uncontrolable at time which sucks, but i have learnt how to control it to a degree with the help of some handy products.

A few months ago I was very kindly sent a full sized bottle of Skinetica* and a mini baby sample to try out. I've been using the product for around 3 weeks now and i can honestly say it has helped clear my skin, within 2-3 days of using it I could see a significant difference in my skin.

Skinetica claims to give you an almost immediate clear complexion with no side effect and by only using the product for 2-3 day. At first i was a little dubious, as i've tried every single anti-blemish product out on the market and none of them have lived up to their expectations. However, Skinetica actually does work and it is now a staple piece in my skicare routine morning and night.
Skinetica is a unique treatment for acne, spots and blemishes and doesn't contain any harsh chemicals such as Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid but only includes 4 simple ingredients.

I like to use the product by simply applying a small amount to a cotton pad and thoroughly applying it to my entier face. If i have a few pesky blemishes then i will add a little bit more on those areas. You then repreat the process every 12 hours to ensure your skin stays clear, thats why i use it in the morning and in the evening. I did try not using it for a few days just to see how my skin would react and suprise suprise i came up with a little blemish. Skinetica is definitely a product i cannot live without now haha.
You can wear it underneath your makeup also, you just have to make sure the solution completely dries on your skin and it will help banish those blemishes throughout the day!

Personally, i have had no side effects at all, my mum has had a few cheeky uses also and she has been fine with the solution. I've completedly finished the mini sample i was sent and i am half way through the full bottle, this is something i deffinitely will be re-purhasing and will be doing so really soon. I am so excited i have found something that actually work and keeps my skin clear :D

This products gets an A+ from me, the only thing i can say isn't that great about it is the smell. Don't get me wrong, it's not a horrible unbareable smell, it kind of smells like nothing if that makes sense?! However, it does the job and i'm a huge fan so this will most definitely not put me off using it.

If you would like to try a sample and test it out for yourself you can do so by going to Skinetica.co.uk and requesting a sample, you only have to pay £1 for shipping.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I would love to know your thoughts on it if you've tried it or are considering to try it :)

Laura Mercier | Silk Creme Foundation

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope you are all doing well! Todays post is going to be on the much coveted products - Laura Mercier's Silk Creme Foundation. I have seen lots of beauty gurus rave about this foundation and i'd had my eye on it for the longest time, so thought it was only appropriate i finally took the plunge and did a review for you all :) A few posts ago i did do a review of one of my new favorite lipsticks by Laura Mercier so if you'd like to take a peek at that you can do so by clicking HERE :)

Laura Mercier's Silk Creme Foundation is an innovative full coverage foundation that makes the skin look flawless and super luminous. The combination of special collection silk proteins, tea extracts and treated mica have formed a luxurious formula that leaves your skin hydrated and protected with a radiant and timeless glow. What more could you want from a foundation?! :D

The foundation has a light whipped formula which provides you with a medium to full coverage without it feeling heavy or cakey on the skin. You seriously need the tiniest amount of this foundation to do your entire face, i know right, how amazing?! I thought this was absolutely astonishing as in some cases from my other favorite foundations such as Chanel, Urban Decay or Rimmel i need to use a whole pump for my entire face and in some cases a little bit more for those pesky hard to cover areas.
All blemishes, uneven skintone and my dark circles disappeared immediately. It seriously makes your skin look incredibly healthy and full of dewy glow just like the celebrities on the red carpet.

The texture is a creamy mouse that blends extremely well, which i love because the formula is easy to work with. I love applying this foundation with either my Real Techniques Stippling Blush or Expert Face Brush as in my opinion they help work the foundation into my skin for an airbrushed finish.

Packaging wise, just like the lipstick i feel it is very modern and stylish. The overall brand packaging is very simple but has so much sophistication. For this particular foundation the squeeze tube is something i havent really seen before from a foundation, so it's definitely a unique aspect. You also have a lot of control on how much product your using which i love because sometimes i can go a tad crazy!

Shading wise i got matched up really quick and easily. I did opt for a shade which is slightly darker than my skin tone because i do prefer applying something that is not my perfect match as it makes me look more alive and not like a walking zombie haha. The Silk Creme Foundations have yellow undertones systems which help the product achieve the overall flawless complexion as it helps iliminate any redness on the skin. The only issue regarding shade is that their are not that many to choose from, after looking on the website i can see that there is only 10 available shades. I picked up 'Cashew Beige' which is the second from darkest shade they offer. So you might not find the perfect shade for you.

I am really picky when it comes to foundation as i've tried near enough every single one on the market. If my complexion looks flawless then it creates the perfect base for the rest of my makeup, and lets face it, you feel great when you skin looks incredible. I would definitely recommend this foundation and i can see it becoming a staple piece in my Summer makeup bag this year. I have fallen in love with the overall brand, the lipsticks and foundation is amazing and i can't wait to try out some more products.

I'd love to know your thoughts on this foundation and if you've tried it out. Also if you would recommend anything else to me :D i love discovering new products to try out.

If you have any questions or requests please do not hesitate to contact me through twitter, email or my leaving a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i read every single comment!

Chanel | Le Blanc - Sheer Illuminating Base

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope you are all well :) i have another Chanel post here for you today, i went a little Chanel crazy after my makeover and picked up some new goodies which i couldn't wait to use and review. One of the new goodies being 'Les Blanc' which is a sheer illuminating base, which is much like a primer for under your foundation or it could be used on it's own if blended out really well for a natural dewy glow to the skin.

As you can see the product itself comes in a frosted glass bottle which does look very stunning, however, i dread to think if i was ever to drop it what would happen! This would look beautiful on display in my Beauty Closet but i'm not sure how it would work out for traveling as it is quite a hefty bottle i'd be worried if it damaged, but i'm sure i'll find a way.

Le Blanc comes with a flat plastic spatula which has been designed to scoop out the product out of the bottle to avoide making a mess as their is no pump. Before purchasing this primer i had read a few reviews about it and most of them would have loved a pump. I would also love a pump, however, i really don't mind using the spactual, i feel i can access the right amount of product that i need and i feel this way the product will go a longer way.

I absolutely love the scent this product has, like i said in some previous Chanel posts, the Perfume designer actually creates the fragrances for the makeup also. This product has a beautiful subtle fresh rose scent. When i apply it to my face i feel really refreshed. When you smell it you instantly think of 'Chanel' as the rose scent is iconic with the brand.

The texture is quite thin so when applied under your makeup it won't feel heavy or as if it's 'clogging' up yours pores. The finish is very natural and gives just the right about of illumination to the skin to enhance the look of 'flawless'  illuminised skin. The formula helps smoothe away redness, minimuses the look of pores and keeps foundation in place all day long. What more could you ask for? :D

Overall, i'm really enjoying using this product. I havent been using it on a daily basis as it is on the pricey side, i tend to use it for more special occassions or when i'm after that dewy look to my skin or when i need my makeup to last that little bit longer. I feel this could be used a liquid highlighter also as it is quite light and white in shade. If you apply it along your cheekbones and down your nose i think it would finish off a look nicely if it was also set with a powdered highlighter.

I hope you enjoyed this review, i'd love to know your thoughts on this product. I'd also love to know of any products you would recommend for me to try out :D

If you have any questions or requests please do not hesitate to leave me a comment below or contacting me via my social media :) i love love loveee hearing from you all and i read every single comment!

Laura Mericer | Creme Smooth Lip Colours - 60's Pink

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope you are all well, had a fabulous Easter and are enjoying the sunshine, fingers crossed it will last for a while now :)

So todays post is a review of one of my new lipsticks i've recently picked up. It's part of Laura Merciers Spring / Summer 2013 Collection - Creme Smooth Lip Colours. I initially stopped by the counter for the 'Silk Creme Foundation' but as soon as i saw the shade 60's Pink i fell in love with it and couldn't talk myself out of buying it haha. I'm a very fussy person and when i see something and instantly gasp and fall in love with you will know. When i'm shopping with my mum she knows all my faces if im liking something or not haha

The new Laura Mercier - Creme Smooth Lip Colour shades for Spring / Summer 2013 are all truly beautful and have just been released during March 2013, so i went shopping on the right day when i purchased it. This lipstick was a total impulse purchase, i saw them all looking lovely on the display near the tills and when my eyes caught '60's Pink', i picked it up, swatched it on my hand and was instantly sold. This collection already has 18 existing shades and now they have intorudced the new 14 Spring / Summer shades which are going to be permanent colours also.

'60's Pink' is a beautiful rose shade with just the right amount of shimmer, which i absolutely love. If your a regular reader of my blog then you'll know how much i love my pink lipsticks! I feel this is the type of universal lipstick shade which would look amazing with a wide range of makeup looks. I have been loving using it on a daily basis, i've found it finishes off any look i wearing. After wearing it for a while now i can say the formula is not at all sticky and is extremely long wearing.

The lipsticks have a lightweight creamy texture which glides on perfectly onto the lips offering a semi-lustrous finish. One single swipe and your good to go with these lipsticks which i think is quite amazing. The wearing time was incredible the times i've used it so far, as they have a long wearing formula, it did not bleed, feather or leave my lips dry and dehydrated, woohoo! The first time i used it i noticed i needed to use more than one swipe of the lipstick, i think this is primarily because it was brand new but when i apply it now, it glides on beautifuly.

Some Key Ingredients -

Jojoba - Allows for an even colour application to the lips
Olive Oil - Nourishes the lips
Vitamin E - Nourishes and moisturises the lips
Hyaluronic Filling Spheres - Plumps, fills lines and wrinkles and overall repairs and smoothes lips over time

The packaging is stunning, it's looks very elegant and modern with the metal finish on the case. It is very unique compared to other brands. It feels extremely sturdy which is great because you know the lipstick will stay protected when your on your travels and when it's thrown in your bag or makeup bag on the go.

Overall, i'm really impressed with this lipstick so far and i can't wait to pick up a few other shades. I can't wait to wear it along side some summer-esk makeup looks! I feel like my love for Laura Mercier products is going to grow now :D

I'd love to know what your thoughts are on this lipstick shade and i'd love to know if you've tried any of the other Creme Smooth Lip Colours, or if you would reccommend me any other Laura Mericer products.

If you have any questions or requests please do not hesitate to contact me via my social media or by leaving me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i read absolutely every single comment.
