Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks & 200 Followers :)

Hello My Lovelies,

I know a few posts ago i did a short review on MAC's Soft & Gentle Highlighter and i explained that another favorite of mine was Bobbi Browns Shimmer Bricks. The Shimmer Bricks were my first proper highlighter, when i was getting into makeup properly. I managed to pick it up on a trip at my nearest CCO (Cosmetic Company Outlet) at Bicester Village. It must have been a one off thing because i go to Bicester Village quite often and i have never seen anymore of them in store, it must have been fate haha :)

'Bobbi Brown' Shimmer Bricks - Nude

The great thing about this compact is that it could be used for a numerous of makeup looks. A great thing is you could use each individual strip as an eyeshadow, i've done this before and it looks so classy, simple but very effective.

As you can see their are 5 shades in this palette, they all create a beautiful Nude Shimmer for the cheeks. Swirled together it does resemble MAC's Soft & Gentle because they are both beautiful champagne shades which look stunning on. The first time i used this product i got so many compliments because i had the illusion of amazing cheek bones haha :)

This product is very long wearing, i can wear it for events and nights out and by the end of the night my makeup still looks so pristine and shimmery :)

As you can see from the picture i haven't even made a dent in the product, i have used this soooo many times and i can honestly say it's worth the money because it's going to last me forever haha. Like i said, i did pick this up in a CCO, so i did manage to get it slightly cheaper than in store or online.
I would definitely recommend this products, it's worth the money, will last you a long time and is very long wearing on the skin, sounds pretty perfect to me :)

I am also very excited right now, i just hit 200 Followers :) Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to read my blog, who writes me comments and is following me, I really do appreciate it. I have always wanted to start a blog and i've really enjoyed getting more into it lately, it's a great way to de-stress and break away from reality for a while haha :) I will be hosting a 'Giveaway' very soon to say thank you so keep a look out for that :)

Hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any questions or requests please do not hesitate to contact me or leave a comment below :)

  1. I've never used a highlighter before but this compact looks great, mostly because, like you said, it can be used in a number of different ways. And I've always been a big Bobbi Brown fan as well.

Congrats on hitting 200 followers! I just hit 200 as well and it feels great :)

  7. I've been looking at these shimmer bricks for a very long time now and i've never quite brought myself to purchasing one because i'm to afraid its going to be too shimmery - well it is a shimmer brick lol. However if this can give a natural glowing look do let me know and i may consider picking one up =) - i did get my makeup done around a year ago from Bobbi Brown when searching for a foundation and the saleswoman did apply this onto my cheeks in the same colour, i just thought it was too much? but maybe thats because she went overboard and applied to much?

Cut a long story short can you achieve a summery glow without looking to shiny? - Sorry about the essay lol

    1. Aww not at all, thank you for taking the time to write a comment lovely :D
I think maybe she did over do it a tad because when i apply it to myself i love it. It's a very build-able shimmer so you can add as little or as much as you like :) You do have to have good lighting to see what your applying because you can't see it straight away until the light hits it, maybe thats why she applied too much. I'd go back to the counter and apply some yourself, walk around for a bit and see how it settles into your skin and then see what you think :) I will be doing a Makeup Look with it soon, so watch out for that too :D xxx
